Not sure what you want to hear from me, Zona. I'd happily vote Republican for a worthy candidate. I reject far-left policies. I vehemently oppose Trump and populist, right-wing authoritarianism, stateside, and around the globe. I long for the day that partisan division and vitriol gives way to civility and discourse; finding some common ground, meeting halfway. On some issues, I hold conservative views, particularly on foreign policy. On other issues, I lean a bit to the left, for instance on women's rights and health care. I stand firmly opposed to oligarchs and the corporate world dictating terms to citizens. I want to see lower taxes for the middle class, higher taxes for the mega-rich. I want a safe, vibrant, prosperous America, now and in the future. I want to see an America that is true to its foundational tenets, an America that isn't isolationist and xenophobic. So yeah, these are my views, in a nutshell.

Reading and seeing all the hate being spewed from those who are supporting the assassination, makes me wonder if what most of us here are feeling is the same as what the law abiding Germans felt when the minority NAZI party took hold.

I feel like this country is just totally lost.

If you were you wouldn’t have so many that disagree with you on EVERYTHING you post. 80% of the posters here are within a point or two of center, you sir are considerably FAR left of that position, just own that fact. I get that many are now abandoning the Democratic Party and their catering to the EXTREME far left evil lunatics, but even if you are trying to break away, that still doesn’t make you a centrist.

You mean the 60M+, 70M+, 80M+ Americans who voted for one of the two major political parties in the country, in any given election? These are your fellow Americans who are 'so far gone' and 'sick' in your mind? I don't think you realize how deranged you sound, posting on this board on the daily.

Tibs, I like you man, but you are not centrist... not totally as far left as some here think, but they dont peruse Dem boards with any frequency to know the real unhinged left

Also most of that stuff circling the Dem sites and twitter right now are hoaxed and fake.. CNN already debunked much of it... it was an apolitical kid in college... he had no ties to the far left or right exposed yet... his dad doesnt work for the sherrif, he isnt a trump donor. The photos were from someone else entirely who just looks similar... its the natural spin cycle where both side are trying to push a narrative to their side to appease them...

This country is lost because the everyday Americans refuse to participate in the elections. With participation the fringe right AND left would be ignored completely and not have any voice among the adults

Please expand on who is calling for civil war? I'm praying for some semblance of normalcy in this country and a dampening of the hateful rhetoric that's fueling this fire. And yes, condemn me if you wish, but more anger and insanity comes from the left side of the spectrum.
