Sounds like no one is biting on the 5th round pick they are asking and it is said if they don't get a trade purposal they will just straight up release him. Man. This trade worked out worse for the Bears than the AB trade to the Raiders did for them. Khan >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Colbert

He'll get picked up by a team that thinks they can mentor him. Looking at you, Ravens!

You know,I thought about this the other day. The Steelers are supposedly well known throughout the league ( and by us) to be the best at drafting WR’s. All the so called experts mention it on draft day. The uncanny ability to find great WR’s on draft day. Hear it all the time. Name the great ones we have drafted. Let’s at least start after Hines.
And yes AB was great on the field. He won’t make the HOF in my lifetime. I guess this is going to depend on what we define as great.

Plaxico
Santonio Holmes,
Brown
Wallace
Sanders

All guys who had impressive careers here and only Sanders guy & Burress had really impressive careers elsewhere.

I mean AB got his ring but he was basically a #2 or #3 receiver. He wasn't the "playmaker" he'd Ben (intended) here.

And frankly, nobody got more out of Smokey the bear (Bryant) or JuJu than Ben Roethlisberger either.

I think it's unfair to compare Pickett to Ben. And therefore, we can't possibly expect KP to make receivers stand out like Ben Roethlisberger could.

And if those receivers up above or any indication, there's not too many other quarterbacks that can either.

Claypool was dumb enough to admit he didn't even know the playbook. Just seems very lazy in general
Well the guy only needed to know about 8 plays in Canada's book when he was in Pittsburgh. And two of those were "Najee up the middle -- pick an A gap."

Ben was the common denominator. Of the entire group of high quality Steeler WRs, only Handy Manny Sanders did better post Steelers, post Ben.

Ben made the WRs around him better. All the WRs from Hines to Claypuff. In hindsight, that was quite an achievement. Tombert got credit for drafting gems, but they were virtually all lesser without Ben.

That's really too bad for Pickens and Muth.

The one defense of Claypool.... he's been on 2 NFL teams, and neither of those teams understand offensive football at all.
He might be good to great somewhere else, if he gets another chance.

Santonio Holmes came up BIG when we needed him to be. That makes him great to me when you're Superbowl MVP making the game winning catch.

He's got a special spot forever.

All steelers wrs are fools gold to trade for… Claypool, AB, Martavis Bryant, Sammie Coates…

Man it is a cesspool of post steelers failure there

Mostly because where ever they go,…………… they didn’t have BEN throwing to them.

We are picking him up for free, then he will lead us to the playoffs. A doubleslap on the bears

Yes, He would look good in black and gold, wasn’t used p[properly, maybe sign vet minimum……..
