Business as usual for the ****** OL so far.
His past 2 years would say different...Please tell me it's at the vet minimum. The guy is not a starter, period.
To paraphrase HCMT, "He's a guy that can start sometimes .. So, he's starter capable ... But, I wouldn't say he's a starter."His past 2 years would say different...
Fixed it...His past 2 years would say different...
Please tell me it's at the vet minimum. The guy is not a good or even average starter, period.
He sucked. We had no one else. If they signed him to starter money, then they have no intention to sign a real starter OL in free agency. They'll wait and sign another scrub cast-off.His past 2 years would say different...
Not official, but if this is his contract he'd be tied for the 11th highest paid RT in the NFL.

I don't think RT was the biggest issue on the Oline. I still think a C and a G would do the Oline wonders.I saw this coming a mile away. I just hope they do bring a vet probowl capable Guard to start next to the green experiment (season 2).

I don't see them moving Moore. I think they want some continuity while trying to improve the Oline.I'm still for Penning LT and slide my guy Moore to LG.
GottA see Chuk's contract, but if they got him cheap enough aND CAP cut friendly than it's a no brainer
Salute the nation
A finesse RT like chuks doesn't open up lanes for the RB. He is more than ok as a pass protector but is so mediocre at run blocking that frustrates me knowing that we have a top RB and need to build around him to be successful.I don't think RT was the biggest issue on the Oline. I disagree. I think he has improved just not to the level that we desire. Despite the talked about penalties he had what 2 sacks on the year? Najee is an in-between the tackles runner upgrade C and G and perhaps they can mirror the Titans somewhat... Run .. roll out play action passing. This one just really irks me. Chuks is heading into his 5th year. He didn't improve in his 1st 4 years. They were grooming him to be a starting LT and he just could never learn. He was a turnstile in the preseason at LT. He was our RT last year out of necessity and now they are choosing to make him the starter for the next 4 years. It makes no sense.
For me it depends on what the do at C and G. We shall see how it plays out. I definitely would get rid of Banner. You can always draft another T too.A finesse RT like chuks doesn't open up lanes for the RB. If the price is true, 8M, then I don't see another RT getting drafted to improve the position. They are just going to bring back Banner again to another prove it deal restructuring his current one and that's the Ot depth, one mediocre starter, one sophomore with upside and the ever injured banner to be the back up.
Zero run blocking power once again.
Hopefully they do address it, this free agent class was shallow at OT.For me it depends on what the do at C and G. We shall see how it plays out. I definitely would get rid of Banner. You can always draft another T too.

Whatever QB we get will be a running QB whether he wants to or not. It's a good thing Tribusky has some wheels, he's gonna need them.
He's hardly played in two years. I don't think he'll be missed.Wtf is up with Banner? Is he going to be a cap casualty?
I am sure his age factored in. You bring in an older pricier version and he gets hurt you are back to square one.Hopefully they do address it, this free agent class was shallow at OT.
