Claypools Dumb *** Penalty

I wonder if the ball would have been knocked out of his hand if he would have jumped up after getting tackled and ran the ball back to the ref and handed it to him?

That's the bottom line here, had he done that there would be no crybaby asholes pointing fingers.

I'm not defending him, just calling the facts, ir should have been a penalty and clock stop. Still doesn't change his 1st down celebration was stupid

Seriously. AB had probably already made 60+ million. Bell was just a dummy who cut his own throat and threw 10 million in the garbage can.Think he will end up broke. Tom Brady is worth what 300-400 million, his wife is worth 600-700 million. He definitely doesn't need the money. Probably wanted to prove he could do it without belicheat. Peyton Manning didn't need the money either.

So really how much would it take you to retire? I think the biggest problem for many of these men is that they're dumbasses when it comes to spending.

The only people who are truly loyal and love the team are the fans. There's no price tag on us.

Which means we can ***** about everyone and anyone because we're not going anyplace..lol

It's like some people who win a large lottery who end up broke and bankrupt. Many are ignorant about finances.
And that’s why a lot of these guys chase the money. Bad finances and the new pay elsewhere band aids that.

Brady and Manning didn’t need the penny per se, but they still made a lot more than any of us will see in a lifetime.

The undisciplined, celebrate when you're getting your *** kicked **** was here before he was in college. Ben isn't much of a leader, but he's right that the guy who decides who plays is ultimately responsible. The standard is the standard after all......

One thing that really bothered me was Ben’s comment after the game that said something to the effect, “it’s not my job to talk to Claypool. That falls on Tomlin.” As a 26 year military vet, that’s called a failure in leadership. Say what you want about Ben…great QB, All Pro, All Star, future HOF QB…no dispute. But he is obviously not a locker room leader if that’s the position he takes. Maybe THAT’s wha the team lacks. Leaders.
The last time Ben said anything about another player he was crucified by AB & the press.
He aint gonna say **** to or about another player.
All he'll say is, "Gee, I should have played better. It's my fault."

I remember way back when a few of our young stars started the first down pose. And other celebrations after big plays/TDs and all. A few here didn't like it. Others stated as long as they produce let them have their fun. Well it created a me first culture ingrained into team now. Our HC allows this to go on year after year. The only way to change the culture is to change the HC.

why would he?
Never recalled those guys putting personal achievements ahead of the teams?

Maybe I'm missing your point?
Meh.....with a HC like Chuck I don't think there would be a need for Terry ever to have to open his mouth to anyone.

THIS

HC controls the make up of the team. It starts at the top and in this case, to be a "player's" coach you have to be liked by the players so........ ...................

S-O-F-T

is the word most used in describing both current coach & player

My main point is he wouldnt.
I used those 2 guys because of different antics (the only ones i could come up with) like throwing cliff harris on the ground... or shooting at helicopters.

The "young money" crew. Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders.

And then there was "Big Money". His first down and TD dance was always the same. Look for the ref and hand him the ball.

Social media wasn't then what it is now. I have no idea what was said behind the scenes. But I am sure something was said in regards to anything off the field. And on the field Jack was sticking up for a teammate and so Harris went splat- rightfully so. I want to say every team seems to have it's problems but Tomlin's teams aren't isolated incidents like the majority of teams have.

Tomlin's team incidents seem to way out number other team's incidents. When & if I do watch other games I don't see near the irrational behaivor that seems apparent and everyday as the STEELERS have.

It's an allowed culture, like it or not.

I am also not interested in hearing "Claypool is young and learning." This isn't complex stuff. You learn about time management at a very early age. This was beyond a fundamental mistake, it was selfish.

Also, did anyone see the context with this questions, because Bush's answer feels like he should be calling himself out.

Tomlin shows no concern for accountability let alone discipline. He should bench Claypool first quarter, send a message to a team more concerned of names on jersey than emblem on the helmet. (Not sure who said that statement, but he was spot on)

Maybe, B&G but Claypool also took some major lumps in the media and from the fan-base. He's facing some real, pointed criticism for the first time and perhaps he will realize that it's kind of a big deal and self-correct.

I mean, yes. He made a stupid mistake. No argument there, but at the end of the day, it wasn't the mistake that cost the opportunity for overtime. Fact is, Muth had BOTH hands on that ball. He had it and he lost it with the hit. Understandable, but the play was made, it was there. Claypool did NOT cost the team a shot at OT.

While I have little faith in Tomlin in terms of Xs and Os, he DOES have a good rapport with the players. Perhaps he can somehow use this to light a fire under Claypool again.

Also... Just an observation.

Anybody notice how much harder the team was playing late in the game last week? Both Claypool AND Washington made HUGE contested catches that, frankly, they haven't been making all season. But suddenly they're fighting for the ball like their life depends on it?

Seems the team got a bit of a dose of "wake the **** up" in the 4th quarter. One wonders what the team could have done this season if they'd played ALL their games with that maniacal intensity.

It was a night and day difference. If that same effort was applied throughout the game, well, we know what the result would be. Game and season.

Very true....and I'll be honest - It would not shock me in the least if we beat the **** and K.C. In fact, I kind of expect it.
