CNN election poll: Voters are angry

I prefer real conservatives in office, not rinos.

You want Al Sharpton and his crew to continue to run the country?

Ferguson: Sharpton to Kick Off Justice for Michael Weekend; 4-Day Event Could 'Help Save Lives'

Rev. Al Sharpton will kick off the four-day "Justice For Michael Brown" weekend event on Friday in honor of the late teen.

The event will begin with a leadership breakfast where Sharpton, who has been lending his support to the Brown family since the late teen's shooting death, will speak. The parents of Brown, Michael Brown and Lesley McSpadden, will also do press and a luncheon will be held to discuss preparations for the grand jury verdict.

On Saturday a "Youth Hip Hop Day" will be held for youth between the ages 2-12 at St. Mark's. A workshop will also be held to educate the community about police brutality and the legal system.

The church will also host a Gospel concert on Sunday followed by a "Community Get Out The Vote Rally" to wrap up the event on Monday.

Gee, the weekend before the election.

It's almost like they planned it this way.

I wonder if Tawanna Brawley will be in attendance.

Obama on brink of worst successive midterm losses of any president in 64 years
Harry Truman shed 55 House seats in 1946 and a further 28 in 1950
Obama also expected to lose between five and ten seats in the Senate

We know who you are

Democrats are telling voters that they had better head to the polls — or else. The New York State Democratic Committee is bullying people into voting next week with intimidating letters warning that it can easily find out which slackers fail to cast a ballot next Tuesday.

“Who you vote for is your secret. But whether or not you vote is public record,” the letter says.

Doesn't matter. He still has a pen and Executive Orders. Of course He'd have to show up at work first to use it.

Doesn't matter. He still has a pen and Executive Orders. .

Let him. Pile up hundreds of Bills for him to veto. Make him the most obstructionist President in history.

by 2016 won't be anyone that doesn't hate him and the Dems.

But she died back in 72....regardless, it's irrelevant.... according to the interntez, Biden is not the John Kerry kind of rich. His net worth is only $600K.

Stewey, whoever suggests that Biden's net worth is $600K is wrong. Whitehouse.gov says his net worth averages $1.6 million.

This is exactly what I'd do. Make him the president of "NO".

You damn straight they're angry. Everyone will be voting against Obama. I've seen incumbent liberals campaigning that they voted against Obama.

there are other perks to taking over the Senate

If the GOP Takes the Senate, Climate Change Deniers Will Control Key Committees

– Environment and Public Works Committee: Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) is in line to take control of the EPQ chairmanship, which would give him authority over the EPA. Inhofe, who has compared climate change activists to Nazis, has already signaled that he will go after regulators on a raft of issues concerning greenhouse gases, from methane leaks to the new rules over coal-fire power plants.

– Subcommittee on Science and Space: As current ranking member of this subcommittee, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has a good shot at becoming the chairman. This vital subcommittee oversees the National Science Foundation, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and issues relating to federally funded scientific research. Cruz is a proud denier of climate change science. When he ran for office in 2012, Cruz told reporters in Texas that global warming ceased in 1997. Earlier this year, in an interview with CNN, Cruz again questioned the science, claiming the “data are not supporting what the advocates are arguing.”

– Homeland Security and Governmental Reform Committee: Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), in line to take control of the Homeland Security Committee, would likely use his perch to continue to harass scientists. The committee is the Senate’s chief investigative and oversight body. Johnson has already distinguished himself with outbursts against Dr. James Hansen, using a hearing earlier this year as an opportunity to tell the award-winning NASA scientist that climate “science is far from settled.” Johnson, who claims that “sunspot activity” is responsible for any changes in climate, has also railed against groups pushing for reform, accusing one of “environmental jihad.”

– Budget Committee: Sen. Mike Enzi (R-WY) has brushed aside the threat of climate change, calling the debate over the issue a “waste of money.” As the next possible chair of the Budget Committee, Enzi may have a chance to rewrite the budget and reduce funding for agencies attempting to regulate carbon pollution. There has been talk about Republicans shutting the government down in a bid to defund the EPA over its climate change rules. Enzi has already criticized the EPA’s coal regulations, and could move such a strategy forward.

What thefuck is the deal with New Mexico? They always seem to be the blue state in the red state belt.

31% chance that Democrats will keep control of the Senate.

69% chance that Republicans will take control of the Senate.

Nate Silvers' FiveThirtyEight.com is showing the exact percentage and he's been spot on the last couple election cycles.

NM has always been one of the poorest states in the nation, and regularly ranks as one of the least educated. Toss in a large population of Hispanics (largely Dem voters) and Native Americans (gov. dependents), and it's easy to see why NM is blue.

They did vote in Susana Martinez, a Republican, for governor, so there's hope.

Angry? Whatever. We'll see if people are angry enough to give up all the freebies. Something tells me people won't be so angry on Tuesday.

Keep playin' that race card - that's all they got.

There is hope

Republicans take big lead in Colorado early voting

DENVER (AP) -- Republicans are taking a big lead in early voting in Colorado.

A report from the Secretary of State on Friday showed that 104,000 more Republicans than Democrats had cast their ballots as the state conducts its first major mail-in election.

Kansas Republicans Take Strong Lead in Early Voting

Of the 153,436 early votes cast so far this election 82,739 or 54% were cast by Republicans. In comparison only 47,468, or 31% were cast by Democrats. The remaining votes were cast by unaffiliated or libertarian voters
