Coach's post game ramblings

The elephant in the room is still the deep ball inaccuracy of Big Ben. Go back and count the number of throws that landed out of bounds ( uncatchable ) to deep receivers and the throws that were over their heads. I can't remember one deep ball that he completed ( I know there must be some ), most long yardage plays were catch and runs.

Like floundering Bos, Ben has yet to get all his throws down pat. He did look better this week on the mid range and underneath stuff. Washington was open a couple times deep last week and he sailed the ball into another zip code.

It will come, the traditional slow starting Stillers are workin' on it.

He wasn't inaccurate deep with Wallace or Bryant. We really do not have a deep speed receiver to feature. You have to be near perfect on the pass when Brown goes deep because he's not fast and is on the shorter side.

Washington needs to get his timing down. He's not fast either. I hope he's not a one trick pony jump ball type.

I dont know but if i remenber correctly he used to underthrow the ball to Wallace

SNAP OUT OF IT! Players who need to play better.

Boswell. C'Mon Man. It's not easy to hit those goal posts, you're doing that too often. One more game lost or tied by a missed field goal or extra point, and your good body of work will be a distant memory.

Tuitt. Highly compensated, not productive enough. He is the next Lamarr Woodley a player who got a big contract than for whatever reason and then regressed?

Burns. Too much up and down play. Most of it has been down. And he's had some bonehead penalties. Mistakes are often magnified at cornerback.

Berry. Punting should not be a box of chocolates. More hang time, distance and consistency are needed. He's the easiest player to cut. A replacement would likely be an upgrade.

Villanueva. Has been shaky at left tackle in pass protection. Concerning as there really isn't a back up for him.

Pouncey. Our pivot man hasn't shined in the run the way he has in the past. There has been a C to QB exchange issue lately and penalty flag or two.

Not very often, and seldom did he over throw Wallace. The deeps balls I've seen since Wallace and Bryant left that were not converted were mostly overthrow. Brown just doesn't have the size or speed to be featured deep.

For whatever reason Haley loved the fade to Brown in the endzone, that play should go to Ju-Ju or Washington now that we have a new OC.
