There was such a push to put Miami in bringing it down to either Notre Dame or Alabama.I'll be shocked if that happens. It will allow them to shut out the ACC and put in Bama.

check again ...........20 20Duke 2 minutes away from putting 2 G5 teams in the playoffs.
If they're forced out they can be the first to touch the ball, if they run out on their own they can't be. The Virginia WR ran out on his own, but the refs didn't call it that way. It should've been an illegal touch.I don't understand the rule about receiver going out of bounds and then they always say he has to "re-establish himself" in bounds. What does that even mean. Apparently it just means come back in bounds and catch the ball like nothing happened. Why even throw your hat to mark that he stepped out?
As the top seed in the ACC Championship game, since a loss in conference championship games doesn't matter, they should still be in the playoffs, right? Or does that only apply to SEC teams that lose the game?ACC right now

Settle down, squeaky. Bama aint getting inthese playoff discussion and previously, the BCS discussions are always a joke. They know which teams they want in there and they reverse engineer the reasons. The next year they do the exact opposite.
BYU lost Championship game - this one matters. No way they can get in the playoff even though their only losses are to the #3 team.
Virginia lost Championship game - too bad Virginia, this one counts against you. better luck next year
Duke - won a Championship game. Yeah, we always say winning a P4 conference is an automatic, but we didn't mean you Duke
Bama - hey you're conference title loss where you rushed for negative 3 yards doesn't count at all. Welcome to the playoffs
Championship games need to be ended. We will learn this year that winning one doesn't help (Duke) and losing one hurts (Virginia, BYU) unless you're in the SEC.
I believe that only applies if the ref determined that the receiver was forced out by the defender. If he's deemed to have gone out of bounds of his own accord, he is ineligible to touch the ball when he's back within the field of play.I don't understand the rule about receiver going out of bounds and then they always say he has to "re-establish himself" in bounds. What does that even mean. Apparently it just means come back in bounds and catch the ball like nothing happened. Why even throw your hat to mark that he stepped out?
so your saying its a non-losing season?![]()
Agreed. Bama is NOT playoff-worthy.If they are going to put the team that has best chance if making noise in the playoffs it's Notre Dame. That is clear. They've rattled off 10 straight. Most of them big. They had a rookie Q. That had a couple struggles at beginning but is one of the best in college football now. Deboer keeps talking about They shouldn't be punished for getting their dicks knocked off last night. Ok. But Notre Dame doesn't lose like that ladt night right now. Not first week in Sept. They can run the ball against anyone. That was the problem last night. Bama couldn't run the ball. I think Notre Dame would smoke Alabama in a very similar manner. I think Notre Dame is gonna get screwed today, but they are the best of the three.
The were 3-9 and 1-8 in the Big10 two years ago.How can anyone not be pulling for IU to win it all this year. I know I am. They basically out defensed OSU last night, which nobody thought was possible.
Go Hoosiers!
Maybe that coach should come be the Steelers coach. The were 3-9 and 1-8 in the Big10 two years ago.
It was sarcasm in jest of the silly no losing seasons of the Steelers so many hang their hat on for Tomlin.
It's not the standard and certainly isn't the standard of most big programs in college football.
