I thought I read Chinyoung was moved to RB coach.

Hired.

Adam Henry— ties to Dallas as Wr Coach
James Campen—Played and coached….Green Bay
Raymond Chinyoung— Dallas Cowboys coach
Patrick Graham— hired by Mike McCarthy as a Lb Coach in Green Bay
Scott McCurley—-worked for Mike in GB,then worked for him in Dallas.
Gerald Alexander— second stint with Pittsburgh. …… familiarity.
Jason Simmons— oh look. Mike had him in GB for several years.

Is there more?

Now. I’m not doing this as an overly critical comment. Simply an observation with a comment or two.

Me being a bit of an A-hole thinks WTF ? Are you giving all your buddies jobs? Are you scorching the earth high and low for the best candidate? Or simply going with familiarity? WTF? Something stinks here.

Optimistic me says maybe they are the best hire, and as any player or coach I will give them every opportunity to succeed. And we have to trust our new HC to put the best talent forward.

He knows what system he wants to implement and guys who have done it before, this happens in all facets of life.

James Campen is to GB what Munchak is to us. This is a huge upgrade, and bringing Chinyoung with him is big, because he's the rising star, can take over when Campen is done.

Graham is intriguing, players love him, advanced analytics say he's good, but we shall see, and bringing in Simmons as well, he was getting DC looks, so it looks like we're bringing in familiar faces with Mike, but also expanding the staff. By the looks of things, doubling the size.

The difference in McCarthy bringing in familiar faces and Tomlin doing the same, McCarthy's guys have buzz, they are JUST buddies. Track records and excitement. Tomlin's buddies were just guys to fill titles.
Time will tell. I didn’t even mention Tomlin. Tell me how great Dallas and Green Bay have done lately. That we poach their ex coaches.

Probably defensive pass game coordinator if I had to guess.

thanks slash, appreciate the input.

I see this staff is enlarging as opposed to the last coach’s staff.

Rooney said he would pay for an enlarged and what ever it takes to get the best, staff.

I’m glad to see this new staff being assembled, patience will well round it out.

I keep checking in hoping to hear some good news. Apparently no Schwartz as of yet.

I think Schwartz will be swinging else-where.

I just read that Patrick Graham will be the next Steelers DC. I know nothing about him.

Is this a positive move if true? Looking at his past teams, his defenses have mostly appeared to suck.

I've read that multiple people say he's a great coach, but has not had the talent. Shouldn't a great coach be able to develop talent?

I guess people are saying he started with trash and made it less trashy. I'm not sure what I think, but it's a change from the last few years, so I'll wait and see.

Advanced stats reflect well on Graham. Traditional stats are substandard. The real answer is likely somewhere between. No lack of talent excuse in Pittsburgh.

He also won’t be the only coach on that side of the ball so you would think he should be able to zero in and make an impact.

Well, Dallas had the number one offense most of the year, Dallas defense is what let them down this year. GB has had one of the best OL and very solid offenses, well above what the steelers have fielded.

Graham is said to fit his scheme to the players not the other way around, that alone will be an upgrade over what we have been running. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt without having someone meddling and allowing him to play HIS defense.

This is what Dallas media is saying about Chinyoung
Under Chinyoung, the Cowboys developed one of the deepest offensive line rooms in the league, with a stockpile of young talent like Tyler Smith, Tyler Booker, Cooper Beebe, and Tyler Guyton. The team also saw running back Javonte Williams have a breakout year with 1,201 yards and 11 touchdowns, which will earn him a big payday in free agency
Fans and media are saying it's a big loss for them.
