Coordinators Thread

DK himself isn’t bottom a 1/3 WR, but IMO collectively the offensive skill position players are bottom 1/3.

DK isn’t a complete WR who runs a full route tree, the other receivers are absolutely putrid.

Gainwell is a good 3rd back, Warren is a below average RB1, Rodgers was at the bottom of the league in many measurable, the TE group has had a pittance of yards and catches for years now.

Maybe they are better in McCarthys scheme but how many them start on the majority of other rosters other than DK and maybe Muth?
You could practically use Gainwell as a slot receiver. His size and hands, speed and vision are what you want as a slot.

If they're really spending more on the staff, it's about time.

The Steelers were at an increasing disadvantage from a game planning and preparation standpoint every year other teams' staffs grew while theirs stayed the same.

That’s why smart teams add some young inexperienced guys willing to work those 100 hour weeks to start climbing a ladder.

Those young bucks will work for peanuts and run through a wall to get their break…at least the ones with potential do

When building a management team its always beneficial to achieve long term success to have a good mix of very experienced and lesser experienced employees..
In fact, in my experience, most management/leadership teams fail when the make-up of the group is heavy one side or the other.

Also...I been reading on this board that alot of people keep talking about young talent to fill the open positions, including the head coach.
Just remember, sometimes new shiny bright objects tend to flame out quickly if not guided properly..

I'm in favor of the current leadership team build for the Steelers, and the appropriate mix of experience, especially if they can get Tolien to jump ship from New Orleans for the OC role.

Gerald Alexander to Minnesota

One more new coach. Kozora was suggesting his replacement might be Joe Whitt Jr. who Mike has worked with before…

I don't really know that much about Graham. Is this a good hire.? Will he be able to utilize most of the people we have on defense now?
I don't really think we arebthat far away on defense. Just need a different scheme that opponents have notnseen 100 times over the last 30 years
