Covid Vaccine

synonimon toast is great!

Synonimon toast crunch cereal is even better. Unless you let it get too soggy. Eso no es bueno.

I have, over and over and over and over and over and over...again.

As vaccines' efficacies wane, you will see an increase in hospitalizations among the vaccinated.

You all continue to make it binary. Some of those vaccinated who are hospitalized is due to math, as you love to argue. And some are because the vaccines are no longer protecting them. See the articles I just posted.

I mean...it's only data reported by doctors about actual patients and data from the CDC itself.

A 20% drop couldn't possibly lead to a rise in hospitalizations. Nope. No....way.
No, you have used statistics that actually show the vaccines effectiveness to try to argue it’s supposed ineffectiveness over and over and over again.

We’re not making it binary. You continue to argue that highly vaccinated states (none of which are 100% vaccinated) are seeing cases rise. You’re not providing any perspective on how many cases are vaccinated vs unvaccinated. THAT is making it binary.

Oh, boy, another shocker.

Joe Rogan, the UFC commentator and podcast host, has come down with COVID-19, he announced on Instagram. He said he’s treating the illness with, among other things, ivermectin, the unproven treatment beloved by anti-vaccine activists and right-wing politicians.

In a video, an exhausted-looking Rogan said that over the weekend he tested positive after having felt run down and feverish. "We immediately threw the kitchen sink at it," he said. "Monoclonal antibodies, ivermectin, Z-Pak, prednisone." Three days of treatment, he claimed, had him feeling like a new man.

How Rogan caught COVID is a mystery, but throughout the pandemic he has offered a friendly ear to some of the loudest and wrongest people in America. Notorious COVID troll Alex Berenson got time on Rogan's show to explain his theories, for example. So did Dr. Pierre Kory of the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance, whom Rogan hosted on his first-ever "emergency" podcast so that Kory could preach the virtues of ivermectin to the masses. This was one of the key events leading to the ivermectin craze that has swept feed stores across the country and left public health officials begging the public to not drink horse dewormer.

Earlier this year, Rogan told his podcast listeners, “If you’re like 21 years old and you say to me, ‘Should I get vaccinated?’ I’ll go, no.” (Later, he took this back, calling himself “a ******* moron.”) He also recently told fans he'd refund them if venues required proof of vaccination: "If someone has an ideological or physiological reason for not getting vaccinated,” he said, “I don’t want to force them to get vaccinated to see a ******* stupid comedy show.”

Rogan, who last year struck a deal with Spotify worth more than $100 million, presumably did not need to acquire his ivermectin at Tractor Supply, or figure out a dosing regimen via reading forum users' posts. Whatever his course of treatment did for him, he was in favor of it, according to his video.

"I feel great," he said, unconvincingly.

A "shocker" that another human being caught a highly contagious respiratory virus?

It's simple ******* logic, which escapes you. You're quite literally incapable of it.

Vaccines protect you from viruses. If a vaccine is 95% effective in January, but then becomes only 75% effective by July....those vaccinated will see a rise in cases/hospitalizations/deaths.

It's inarguable. You're seeing it now. Vaccinations began 8 months ago. I've posted study after study showing the efficacy is dropping. Therefore, the cases/hospitalizations/deaths rise in that population.

You might wanna start masking again Flogged.

But for some reason making these discoveries and changing protocols accordingly is looked at as something nefarious or dishonest. It's not.

Not me. I just see them as what they are. Less ineffective than purported. Less ineffective than advertised on TV every damned day. And certainly not good enough to mandate everyone get one.

"I feel great," he said, unconvincingly.

Yep. As I did. My family did. 99.97% chance he lives. Because you know...COVID is so ******* deadly.

When Flogged goes to an art gallery (because you can never afford not to be too careful):

When Flogged is feeling a little "frisky":

What is you’re point? Not as effective, but still very effective. What is you’re point?

You’re like a Browns fan that brags after a 17 point loss that they covered the 18 point spread.

I know you guy see this as a "told ya so" moment but it's not. People who don;t want the vax don;t think they're immune from COVID. They just fear the possible effects of a new and mostly untested vax more than they fear getting COVID. It's that simple.

How dare he take unproven ivermectin. Doesn't he know that he must take the unproven vax?

And just like that, ****. Literally just got a text that my sister had to be hospitalized today. Pericarditis. Has been having trouble breathing. Getting tests run today and tomorrow.

Moderna vaccinated. Never has had issues with her heart. My only sibling.

Yeah I know, there's no connection of course. **** me.

Anybody notice that a few days ago when cuts were announced, it was widely reported than being un-vax'd was a factor. Now many teams are making a point to state publicly that no way did vax status come into play whatsoever. Sounds like they know they can be sued for cutting guys who refuse the vax. I kinda hope Cam Newton sues.

You couldn't get the point, if the point was the tip of a spear jabbed through your head.

The vaccines are becoming more and more limited in their effectiveness. Thus part of the reason we see a rise in vaccinated cases/hospitalizations/deaths.

But that's no big deal, ammmmirritttee? If they were 10% effective, you'd still be banging the drum for everyone to get them and how effective they are.

We need better.

Yep. Because the players union got involved.

Try seeing what happens if your employer **** cans you because you have HIV.

Hope your sister is okay, Tim. Wishing her all the best and a speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear that Tim. Pericarditis is typically not that severe and can be treated with medication (in most cases).

That ended quickly.

‘Turns out I got Covid. We immediately threw the kitchen sink at it. All kinds of adds — monoclonal antibodies, Ivermectin, Z-Pac, Prednisone, everything, and I also got an NAD drip and a vitamin drip and I did that three days in a row and so here we are on Wednesday and I feel great. I only had one bad day. Sunday sucked. But, monday was better. Tuesday felt better than Monday. And today, I feel good.”

Sooo…”it’s better to be unvaccinated” is your point?

You wouldn't get a point if it was at the end of a bayonet stabbed through your eye.

It's better to have natural immunity.

Re: the vaccines, they should be better. A lot better.

If 40% of those in a certain hospital are vaccinated, how does it mean anything other than 40% of their admitted population sick with COVID are vaccinated?

Seems like a pretty obvious stat to me.

Given we have been told they are 90% effective, 96% effective, 92% effective...and given we are seeing a rising # of hospitalized being vaccinated people...and given studies show point blank the vaccines efficacies wear down over time...it would appear to me...8 months into full on vaccination, we are seeing "effects" of vaccinations waning. How can we not?
When you say a vaccine is 90% effective, you aren’t saying that 10% of all vaccinated people will get seriously ill with covid. You’re saying that that there is a 90% reduction in serious illness in vaccinated people vs. unvaccinated people. For every 10 unvaccinated people who get seriously ill from covid, only 1 unvaccinated person will.
How then can 40% of all hospitalized people be vaccinated? Easily. Because a huge percentage of the people most at risk for serious illness and hospitalization are vaccinated. Only a small percentage of those already unlikely to get serious illness are vaccinated.

Look at it it this way…if 70 percent of all elderly are vaccinated and they also make up 70% of all hospitalizations, you could say the vaccine isn’t effective at all. But if 60% of all hospitalizations are occurring in the maybe 20% of the elderly who aren’t vaccinated, the vaccines look quite effective at preventing hospitalization. So you can’t look at “percentage of hospitalized patients who are vaccinated” in a vacuum. It’s a meaningless statistic.

If a vaccine's efficacy is 95% in the elderly, then drops to 75%....is it not logical that cases/hospitalizations/deaths will increase in that age group as the efficacy drops? Yes or no.
