What don’t you understand about “herd immunity makes it HARDER for the virus to spread”???
That is NOT what we are CURRENTLY seeing. New cases UP 140% over fourteen days. Almost three times as many as we were seeing a month ago. There are obviously still many potential hosts to spread the virus. Again, how is that indicative of herd immunity?
200-225M is an estimate and it doesn’t matter if there is great disparity in vaccination rates by region, state or county. And there IS! It is clear that unvaccinated people are holding the US back.

Go back and read slowly, “showing no symptoms or only mild symptoms” in other words NOT hospitalized or dead.
I can only tell you what I see from a day to day basis coding inpatient medical charts. I see no significant adverse reactions to vaccinations. If they are out there they are miniscule. I see Covid infections are down from other periods of time. I see when people pass they are unvaccinated. I see this happen even when they give them plasma, remdesivir, etc. If they get Covid-19 and are vaccinated the symptoms are often mild. I haven't seen one person pass from Covid that was vaccinated. If it is out there it is has to be again a miniscule event.

But still test positive, right? And deaths are not "up" as much as the case rate, meaning the already-high survival rate appears to be improving. That would be inconsistent with your theory that unvaccinated right-wingers are getting the Chinese flu, and consistent with my theory that a lot of the new cases are those who were vaccinated, have mild symptoms and yet test positive.
Questions for the least intelligent among us:
- Do we know if these new cases are from COVID or the COVID-variant?
- When a flu variant appears, are people immune if they got the flu-shot for the prior variant?
- Do we not already know that the jury is out on whether the vaccines protect against the COVID variants?
- Did criminal Democrats, all of whom were vaccinated, not just get COVID on their excursion to Washington DC?
- Are cases rising at the rates they were rising last winter? Last fall? If you believe so, share the rates then compared to the rates now.
PS...200-225Million is only estimated beyond the 182Million proven to you by a medical organization and their doctors, the conclusions of which aren't really debatable. Over 3 months ago, we were at 182Million. Couple infections and vaccines since, we are EASILY at 200M. Much much more likely at the 225 level.

Where did I ever use the term “eradication”? You’re the one that declared Covid “over” not long ago.
If, in the past three weeks, the US had gone from 11,000 cases to 3,100, THAT would be indicative of being near herd immunity. But that didn’t happen, cases went up to 31,000. That is absolutely inconsistent with being at or near herd immunity. Nothing about that suggests RESISTANCE. No qualified person ever declared being at or near herd immunity when cases were rising, be it against Covid or the flu. And you’re wrong, some counties didn’t have their first Covid case until 2021.
