This is basically the common cold for most people at this point, it's highly transmissible, has a very short incubation period which means by the time someone knows they have it they've already spread it. Everyone is going to get it. Any idea that these vaccines are important for the protection of others is done. I would urge everyone to get vaxxed for their own protection from severe illness but it seems well past time for all of the quarantine and mandate nonsense to end.

CDC is providing this advance notice for clinical laboratories to have adequate time to select and implement one of the many FDA-authorized alternatives.
Visit the FDA website for a list of authorized COVID-19 diagnostic methods. For a summary of the performance of FDA-authorized molecular methods with an FDA reference panel, visit this page.
In preparation for this change, CDC recommends clinical laboratories and testing sites that have been using the CDC 2019-nCoV RT-PCR assay select and begin their transition to another FDA-authorized COVID-19 test. CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses. Such assays can facilitate continued testing for both influenza and SARS-CoV-2 and can save both time and resources as we head into influenza season. Laboratories and testing sites should validate and verify their selected assay within their facility before beginning clinical testing.

So I went to see my doctor today. Tested negative for the flu, still waiting for COVID results.
Interesting side note. Of all the people at my house over Christmas, (son, daughter, g-baby, son in law, wife), those vaccinated, IE my wife, daughter and I are all sick with a respiratory virus. My son, SIL, and grandson are all unvaccinated and fine. I don't know if it's COVID, because there is a lot of respiratory **** going around right now, but it's odd that the vaccinated in this family are the only ones affected.
