Cowboys vs Bucs

why are cowboys throwing to their scrub TEs so much and barely challenging the Bucs CBs downfield?
 
cowboys should probably be up like 10. They are outplaying the Bucs but just keep making mistakes and giving away points

I respectfully disagree. DW and DB are damn near identical ILB's - lest ye forget DB's production BEFORE the injury. I'd even dare to say that he was better up until that point.

Not sure if you see it; but Tampa's defense is similar to ours...

Although he had some splash plays as a rookie, I'm with Tape here. Bush is nowhere near the linebacker White is. I know the injury has Bush a year behind, I just didn't see anything special in his action during the preseason either. I actually thought he looked quite slow on the field and hope he can get up to speed quickly.
 
Chris Godwin drops a sure TD and then fumbles at the goal line. Great Nittany Lion
 
Dallas kicker cost them that game. Missed extra point and chip shot FG. Those points would have made it so TB needed to score a TD to win.
 
Isn’t there a challenge for pass interference now?

I thought there was, but I guess it would have had to be a booth challenge. Maybe that rule has changed, or no longer exists, or never existed.

Well, since the Cowboys were up 29 - 28 at the time TB started their final drive, the 7 points the kicker missed would have made the score 36 - 28. I don't think Brady is ever leading a team on a 9 point game winning drive. And scoring 8 points to tie the game would have been a lot more difficult than getting Succop (sp) in FG range to win. Wouldn't you agree?

I guess Godwin dropping a sure TD pass and then fumbling at the goal line was more important than the kickers misses. The better team and QB win. Prescott is a stat stuffing loser.

Godwin's drop/fumble combo also played a part in TB being down. And that's a good point. As far as "better" QBs, I don't remember making QB assessment part of my statement. But, if you felt a need to add it, good on ya.
In any event, the Dallas kicker ****** up 3x. That's three momentum changes. Godwin's fumble was one momentum change.
Oh well, can't wait till Sunday. That's a more important game to me.
