Crosby a Rat

The Ravens have issues but getting Madabuieki back and Crosby had 10 sacks and 28 tfl, maybe two first round picks is a hefty price but they’re going to be a heck of allot better defensively. I’d like to say not a big deal but I can’t.
Say that 10 fast and backwards!!!

All Im gonna say is if you can't pick a good football player in the top 32 of all the eligible players. That's on you. Here are the best players on the Steelers: Watt, Highsmith, Heyward, Porter, The Centre and the right side of the Oline, Herbig, Harmon, Black, Wilson
UFA but young talent evaluation: Warren, I think Pierre,
So you line up what they got from FA and trade against that?

Nearly half of all first round picks don't live up to their draft rank, the draft is a crap shoot, not a science. Nobody in the 2021 draft would have given the Rams what Stafford gave them.

His best days are behind him.....he's still a good player but nothing special.
You just described our entire franchise. Credit to the Ravens for being innovative. We’re hiring Coach McCrappy and allowing a QB to hold the team hostage who sucked a season ago. And will it be this season or next that senior citizen Heyward lashes out that he wants a new contract for a third time? At least there was a point in time where we weren’t an embarrassment. Unfortunately, that’s been a while ..

Cooch?
Is that you???

Think about this..........

The Ravens have had good defenses over the last 8 years. But still they have no chips. Why? Because Lamar Jackson is constantly exposed in the Playoffs as a QB that can't really pass when the run game has no effect. They can get Crosby and anything else they want. But as long as Lamar Jackson can't really pass, they are not going to win any playoff games or handle us. We have a winning record against the Ravens because we generally neuatralize the run and Lamar running around and we force him to do things with his passing arm. Where he is consistently exposed.

This was not a good move by the Ravens. Because it doesn't address the fact Lamar can't really function from the pocket when forced to in the playoffs. The Ravens defense will mask that for most of the season. But they will (Lamar will) be exposed again once they make the playoffs.

We had a coach who couldn’t win in the playoffs and we replaced him with the same but older and fatter. Maybe it’s a competition of who can suck more between us and the Ravens.

Don, think about this...... First, McCarthy isn't going to be here more than 3 years. We will move him at that point but there are two things that McCarthy does well that tomlin didn't.

1. Hire Good Assistant coaches
2. Develope QB's.

Those are the reasons that Rooney hired McCarthy. And if he does those two things for us, we are going to be in a much better position then where we are currently at. I too wanted some younger, more innovative. And we will get that after McCarthy's short stint with us. But first, let's get that new franchise QB set up. A little patience my friend.

Tomlin didn't want to hire legit assistant coaches because he was afraid of losing his job to one of them. That's why after 19 years, no one under him has gone on to get a head coaching position while the McVay's and Shanahan's coaching trees flourished. Because Tomlin was always a fraud. He came to the Steelers as a secondar expert but in 19 years, what legit cornerback was drafted and developed by tomlin? None. Tomlin was a fraud. And what games we won we won because of our intact culture.

Im not saying every first round draft pick is a winner. Im saying they are the foundation of a great team. And yes you can get a great player via FA and trades. But Im betting they had the foundations of that team before Stafford.

I've said it's his job to find our next franchise QB, would be an added bonus if he finds our next HC, too.

Shows me that issued we missed the window for trading TJ instead of paying a declining player $41 million per.

TJ made it all about business when he had to be the highest paid edge rusher.

Spot on!! Glad they gave away two first rounders, all the better. The key is this, Lamar is Lamar. I keep hoping, wishing, they sign Lamar to a YUGE 5 year deal, because he is on his way down!

Possibly, but it'll be nice seeing a new defensive scheme and not the same old same old, "we do what we do" and former players calling us out for doing the exact same thing every season. Hopefully they'll help him out.

Like I've posted before, watch James Harrison highlights, he was rarely double teamed, because LeBeau would kill them for it.

Exactly what I've been saying. We've asked for it for years, finally getting it, and some want to ship him out for a contract that is literally not hurting us in any way right now...

Hmmmm...smells like a familiar aroma...

Hi Bob!!!

The good news is that the Watt deal isn't overly lengthy. The Steelers can buy out for a $10 million cap hit after the end of next season, and TJ will only be 33 then.

The cap money isn't really the bad part. The Steelers have worked around that. But a couple of first round picks + would look good.

They got Max Crosby though

Ravens have just sent a cosmic ripple to the compensatory pick equation with this travesty and in a bold move the league has given them comp picks in the first round for the next five years to compensate this loss.
