DeAngelo Williams updates....

What are you trying to say? That Chuck should of had another quality starting RB on the roster?

No, just that we have a history of RB problems entering the playoffs. Not much Noll could have done. I think the backups that year were Frenchy Fuqua and Reggie Harrison, serviceable but no Franco Harris.

Neither Toussaint nor Todman have a career fumble yet... I'm not certain how much of a concern that ought to be.

I'm much more concerned about Burfict going after Ben's knees.

Art II better be making some calls this week. And Coach T. better be going full on Harbaugh on the refs if the Bengals pull ANY **** at the start of the game. Those guys are as dirty as the day is long.

While I agree, the Bungals fans seem to think exactly the opposite and that we are the dirty team. It is going to be a long week for me here in CIncy.

The Pats released Joey Iosefa a couple weeks ago....that was immediately after a 55 yards on 14 carry game. 6'0" and goes 245 lbs.

They should put Pouncey on IR, give this kid his roster spot and a hat and incent him handsomely to send burfict to the hospital before 9PM.

I looked him up on youtube.. he actually looked pretty good. He runs hard and looks for contact.

Dulac said on the radio today that Toussaint hit the hole pretty fast in practace. And when there wasn't a hole he was able to kick it outside with some decent speed.

Would love a Pouncey update if there was one too

Just my own speculation, the break is probably fully healed by now "it's been 4 months' and he's likely resumed working out." If the Steelers go deep into the playoffs and Wallace goes down he could be activated any time in an emergency and called back to practice. But as long as Wallace is healthy there's no need to activate him and waste a roster spot.

De Williams is day to day.

Yep. According to twitter reports Williams is day to day with a not so serious ankle sprain.

Though it looks like he has a good chance of playing, I have serious doubts about the effectiveness of a running back that will be less than a week removed from an ankle sprain, regardless of severity.

We're probably going to see a lot of Toussant whether Williams plays or not.

Day to day, probably translates to what most here couldn't walk on. I hope the _____ works and works fast. DeAngelo has grown into one of my more favorable player this year. Love Mr.Bell, but if he is NOT herte on the field, how do you root for him??/ I know the gayvens, as a team, has used up all the antler / penis powder O'l rayray had left them. I wonder if O'l rayray would happen to have any private stash, so to speak??

Salute the nation

I'll bet all you Archer haters aren't laughing now, are ya? Yeah, I went there (166 pages)

DeAngelo Williams' (ankle) Monday MRI showed no major damage, and he's considered day-to-day.

Williams and the Steelers are going to do everything they can to get him ready for the weekend's Wild Card matchup against the Bengals. The bad news is the game is on Saturday, giving Williams one less day to get healthy. Williams said he nearly came back into Week 17 against the Browns.

Everything coming from the local media indicates it is highly unlikely that DW will play on Saturday night. He was still in the walking boot earlier today. Get ready for the Fitz show everyone.

I would say get ready for Big Ben to air it out and either have a 400+ yard 3+ TD game or we lose. It's hard to put the weight of the team on your shoulders but I think Ben is a gamer and will do fine. The one thing he needs to NOT do is zone in on AB like Kordell Stewart used to do to Yancy Thigpen. You need to spread it around a little to keep the defense honest and to prevent those guys jumping routes. I am not saying don't throw to AB I mean he can have 10-12 catches no problem. But if Ben has to throw 50 times and completes 35 lets get Bryant 4-5, Wheaton 4-5, Miller 3-5, DHB 2-3, Toussaint/Johnson/Todman 5-10.

Lots of conflict information. He says he could have played Sunday. The media says it doesn't look like he will play. we will no by tomorrow. No practice tomorrow he doesn't play.

Friday's practice is the key. I doubt he'll go either today or Thursday.

Fitz didn't have many yards in his few carries but he did do a good job of blocking and picking up blitzers. You can bet that is a big reason he moved ahead of Todman.

Agreed. He made some key blocks on big passing downs. He looked like a pretty good receiver so I wouldn't mind putting him out in a route or a few screen plays if he isn't cracking off decent runs to keep the defense honest and not just pinning their ears back and going after Ben. If he can block efficiently to pick up blitzers and do enough between running and catching to keep Ben upright I say we have a shot.

Maybe his blitz pick-up is why he's getting the nod over Todman?

they trusted him enough to be a passing option on the two point conversion. and unlike last season where Tate had one week to learn the offense, Fitz has been here all season
