That dude is from the very town here in NC that I live in. Can’t remember ever seeing him, but I’m not especially fond of people so a person could understand how I might overlook a guy like that.

I don't know if this has anything to do with political ideology but, the lesson here is. Don't fukk with restaurant workers. They have a pent-up rage boiling underneath the surface of which most people are unaware. I know, I used to be one.

I'm inclined to think it doesn't have anything to do with political ideology. I think expecting customers to stay on their side of the counter and not threaten workers might be the only things both sides of the political spectrum would agree on.

Would you really expect anything else from them? Their belief system says this is A ok. The end justifies the means. And the cause is noble,just and true.

You can justify anything with that frame of mind. Much like the muslims,nazis and communists.
