You got the young & cheap part correctPickens is very young, still cheap, and his on field value is still very high.
Pickens needs to go at the soonest

If that report on Pickens is correct, he's not a player you want to invest a lot of money in. We aren't going anywhere next year with Tomlin back in charge. I'd move Pickens to a team like New England or Green Bay. Sign Chris Godwin and draft a receiver in the first or second. You got the young & cheap part correct

Emmanuel Sanders?Name one WR we got rid of that went on to be a real good productive WR and good team mate. I can't think of one.
Mike Wallace?Emmanuel Sanders?
Nate Washington?Mike Wallace?
Pickins is on the same road as DJ. Trade him now. Name one WR we got rid of that went on to be a real good productive WR and good team mate. I can't think of one. Cancer kills! Enjoyed watching those Rams WR last night they play every play and block.

LMAO, do you know why they play that way? They are in a pass happy offense. They started the game off with 20 passes and 5 runs. Kupp had 100 targets in 12 games , Nacua had 106 in 11 games. People forget how nasty Pickens can be in the run game with his blocks. And you make WR happy and willing by giving them the ball. Pickens is by far the most talented offensive player we have, and it was thought that Smith would feature him somehow in his offense. They didn't tho. And for all the "he quits on plays, and routes" that people like to claim, I can think of TWO plays that he gets shredded for, even tho he has shown more plays on the other side of those negative two. The failed block on Warrens run LAST year (a play in which a few weeks later he MADE), and the so called "quit on the Wilson INT to Muth". A play in which they jammed him hard on the LOS, the DB won that play and he had no where TO go. But the safety was never watching Pickens to begin with, he was watching Wilson's eyes the entire play, and Wilson threw yet another bad throw into triple coverage.Pickins is on the same road as DJ. Maybe....maybe not. We heard the same about AB and Johnson though.LMAO, do you know why they play that way? They are in a pass happy offense. They started the game off with 20 passes and 5 runs. I'm not saying Pickens doesn't need to mature and grow up, but he's not nearly as bad as fans and media have made him out to be.
AB was an egomaniac until he got hit by Burfict, then he was just bat-**** crazy. DJ had stories of fights and discontent about his role in the offense the past couple years. Pickens, he hasn't fought anyone, hasn't yelled at any coaches, he wears his emotions on his sleeve being a young kid still, and has been late (and nothing has happened).Maybe....maybe not. We heard the same about AB and Johnson though.
Maybe if the HC nips the issue in the butt from the get go we would get a different out come. Or maybe not. Some apples are just bad.
Jones is just getting abused...
2 plays ? I watched 14 loaf off the LOS so many times I lost count..if he wasn't primary he wasn't interested. ..zero team attitude..all Pluckins and only PluckinsLMAO, do you know why they play that way? They dominate the league in working those comp picks. For an organization that values draft picks as much as we do I can’t believe we’re not more proactive with it as well.Drops claimed by the Rats..another example of the failures of our front office..they don't want him all they want is his draft comp value
Probably best FO in the league. This latest move makes other teams look dumbThey dominate the league in working those comp picks. For an organization that values draft picks as much as we do I can’t believe we’re not more proactive with it as well.
That is some dichotomy. Almost didn't see itHere is the dichotomy of it. Wow what a great job Tomlin did keeping DJ in line as long as he did. It took other teams weeks not years to realize and deal with DJ as he is a lockeroom cancer who's talent is hardly worth the hassle.
Do you know that the play itself doesn't determine the primary, the defense does.2 plays ? I watched 14 loaf off the LOS so many times I lost count..if he wasn't primary he wasn't interested. ..zero team attitude..all Pluckins and only Pluckins
I was listening to some Steelers beat writer who thinks the Ravens will get a 3rd-round comp for DJ. I don't think there's any chance he'll get that type of contract after attituding his way off two playoff teams.Drops claimed by the Rats..another example of the failures of our front office..they don't want him all they want is his draft comp value
