Diontae-Minkah Locker Room Argument

Me too. And the Greg Lloyd and Jack Lambert era's.

This era sucks ***. It's lame and completely uninspiring.
I wasn’t born during the 70’s but I grew up watching the 90’s and 2000’s. Was a fun time as a fan. The nfl was just a great product back then.

I now understand when the old timers say “back in my day” lol

Just think of a dominant defense like 2008,but for most of a decade which would include the insane year of 1976, which started off really bad, pissed them off then shut everyone down. If not for Franco and Beier getting hurt before the AFCCG vs the Raiders, we would be talking about 5 superbowl wins and a 3peat.

It's unfortunate that the game has become a shell of its former self.

There have been a few successful NFL guys in the UFC. NFLers are freak athletes, who if they trained fighting their whole life would most likely be very good fighters. Greg Hardy with only a couple years training did OK in the UFC. He had major stamina issues and didn't look like he took training very seriously though. He missed weight as a heavyweight and had a lot of flab. He also thought it was OK to use an inhaler between rounds.

I would still put money on the ufc guy if that was against James Harrison. Being good at football doesn’t guarantee you’re good at fighting.
Not me. Harrison would absorb everything until he got to him, then it would be over for the UFC Guy. Deebo wins that match for one reason…….he has ZERO QUIT in him and the pounding would likely just piss him off.

It just came to my attention that during every great Steeler era we had a "nasty" or perhaps even a "controversial" linebacker. There was also Joey Porter.

TJ Watt is a superstar, but as great as TJ Watt is, he doesn't fit the mold of a Jack Lambert or those that followed.

TJ fits more the mold of HOF'er Jack Ham.

We need a nasty LB to compliment TJ. Devin Bush was supposed to be that guy.
Yinz may disagree, but that is my perception.

I think they wanted Bush's speed to launch towards the run and fill gaps quickly, be able to drop into coverage and stay with TEs and pass capable RBs, and blitz. He flashed some of that before his injury. Then I think he got gun shy.

Thing with these smallish LBs that are built on speed is you risk injury then a speed drop off, and you often get issues with them being able to get off blocks. Unfortunately Bush ended up meeting both of those potential issues.

Yea, but I bet that LB wasn't James Harrison, no way.

We all saw what James did to the clowns fan who ran onto the field of play. Granted the UFC fighter may have a little more fight in him, but my Mon ey is on James.

Devine BUSH was a pussssy. He didn’t have the fight in him to be classified in even near the same category as a Llloiyd / Debo / Lambert / type enforcer LBs.

Dream ON

EDIT: BUSH was a finesse LB if there ever was one, more of the Shazier type, supposedly.

Sometimes it's too late, and instead needs to be blown up and started over.

ONE can only hope upper management sees this as well.

You guys are making **** up.

Clearly stated that DJ was chirping at the OC. The play designs were dog-****, the route concepts were not defined, and Minkah did the right thing to defend his coaches in that moment, even though DJ was right to be mad at the offensive game plan, or lack thereof.

Turns out the point is now moot, and DJ got what he wanted on Tuesday morning when Canada was fired.

DJ is actually playing, and Minkah is a cheerleader until he comes back, so I'd think that was part of the argument as well. I don't see this being a problem between the 2 moving forward, but it is something to keep an eye out for.

Still waiting to hear where you got this from.
I hesitate to say because the board will run amuck with bashing the source, especially because it's from someone close to the Browns' organization. But I trust him as he has always given me accurate info. in the past. He also tells me the team was basically starting to "burn down" because Shades refused to get rid of Canada and that was ticking the players off. It was reported from Browns' players that Pickens was complaining, during the Browns' game, to Browns' players that he had had enough and wanted out of the looney bin that was the Pittsburgh Steelers. Right during the game. Now, go at it. Rip the source.

If true....Grant him his wish then...seriously.
