Dobbs vs Cowgirls

The Titans have an out after this year. They will be in a transition, probably on the verge of moving on from Tannehill in the next year or two and Henry is getting up there in age. I'd take Dupree back for depth on a very inexpensive deal given his recent injury history. More importantly, we can get the Bud brought a buddy segment back.

Dobbs had a solid game tonight, just too many guys out for the Titans. The rest of the AFC has to be thrilled the Titans are so banged up. They don't have an elite QB, but a strong running game and a tough defense would not be a team you want to face in the first round.

Speaking of QBs, Trevor Lawrence has the chance to get closer to the upper tier of AFC QBs. Mahomes, Allen, and Burrow in the elite category with Herbert and Jackson just behind them, probably Lawrence in this group now with how he's playing. Then you have, if healthy, Tua. The AFC is stacked with QB talent.

In his last four seasons here he missed 6 games total and was limited in one more…
In his two seasons in Tennessee he has missed 12 games and didn’t start another 5… so by season’s end he will have started 17 out of 34 games for them… also he has a combined total of seven sacks the past two years… he had 8 in 11 games for us his last season here and 11.5 in 16 the year before … so they were paying for a 12 sack per year pace… not seven total sacks in two years

Many of us knew that he was good, but playing opposite TJ makes a person better. He wanted huge dollars, so off he went.

Getting him back would be OK, but so would not getting him back.

Now, why they didn't go out and get Dobbs . . . ?

Dobbs looked like a very competent backup yesterday at prime time. I wouldn't mind seeing him here next season if the team gets rid of Mitchs contract and Rudolph leaves (which he will)

Because we had four QB's on the roster already, three after one got hit by a truck, so the roster was set.
 
Dobbs just got to Tennessee this week. He probably split reps with Willis and then they make him the starter. That is crazy by itself. Then he's playing one of the better D's in the league. I think he should come out of that with his head held high and some team should definitely want him as a competent backup for sure.
 
Kind of surprised me in 6 seasons he’s never had a start. Held his own against Dallas,should be interesting to see what he does in a huge game for them next week. Titans had like half their team out.

The Tomlin Fan Club won’t be happy until the Steelers have a black QB. It’s no more complicated than that.
Reminds me of Uncle Rico. “Team would be great if only they’d put in (insert name of black 3rd string QB).”

I can'tbelieve such thing could exist. Us Steelers fans only want the team to win, don't care about anything else.

Tomlin just drafted a white QB when he had the chance to easily draft another player in the 1st and get Willis in the 2nd round. So if Tomlin doesn't care about that, why would his fan club? Whatever that is
 
Dobbs played quite well. I think he is a usable backup. He is not a starter. I feel pretty good about them drafting KP. He isn't lighting the world on fire. But they had to use Dobbs over Willis. Which tells me something. There were plenty of talking heads having the Steelers pick him. The kid Atlanta looks no better than KP either.

Because for some people, and they do exist, defining someone by physical characteristics is paramount, the same way some are obsessed with politics.
Pickett and Pickens, one has less melanin, and I don't care which one it is, because it has nothing to do with winning games.

Apparently you’re not in the Steeler FB groups then. Lotta people openly hoping for Willis to be better than Pickett and if you disagree you’re a racist.

NOT all STEELERS fans are like us. I could care less of color / ethnic / country / planet….. Except “Plazarr”- old girlfriend dumped while visiting there.

If you follow Ron’s post(s) he talks about this FB group and how ”racists for lack of better word” they are.

Sad thing is they’re too blind to see who the racists really are. I’m probably going to check out of the one group after the season because I just can’t take the lack of football knowledge and general stupidity any more.
 
Meh I’m sure some idiots have racist agendas, but I’d wager most of the Dobbs fan club are people that either hated Rudolph’s selection in the draft, loved that Ben loved him as a backup, or just were enamored by the Rocket Scientist angle his narration has…


Dobbs was a project QB … Rudy had more upside and Dobbs was smart enough to see that there were better paths to a starter role elsewhere than here…

I don’t know how he will fare as a Starter, and I wish him well, but as soon as he gets done playing I would absolutely bring him in as a qb coach or offensive assistant… he has a future there, and most aerospace engineers don’t actually make more than a good nfl assistant, especially at first

I hasn't open my fb page in 3 years until last week because I had to find some info there. I really don't care about social media and publishing all **** that I do and or seeing other's.

Unfortunately every ethnic group in the US has their fair share of racists. Not just limited to fans.
