Tomlin just drafted a white QB when he had the chance to easily draft another player in the 1st and get Willis in the 2nd round. So if Tomlin doesn't care about that, why would his fan club? Whatever that is

I will never understand why they didn’t move Rudolph for a late-round pick or flat out release him if there were no offers. Then again, this was also the team that drafted a QB in the last round and gave him basically no reps in training camp.

And also a team which drafted a QB in the first round, effused confidence in Trubisky as the starter, then threw the rookie into the second half of the fourth game having given him basically no reps with the starters.

Yet some people here believe we have a Coach of the Year candidate because the Steelers are beating bad teams.

Possibly too big a cap hit if they released him. Plus your other QB's are both new and you didn't really know what you have in them. With Rudy you have one guy who knows what passes for our "system".

Also add in the fact that they didn’t dream their fantasy QB would fall to them. Picket was their guy and they took him not thinking he would even be there. They couldn’t foresee that future, with or without eye-lids.
