Citizens Bank collapsed yesterday, making it the 6th bank to collapse this year. Apparently Citibank is also having some problems.
That's not THE Citizens Bank, its just some regional bank that is also called 'Citizens'

I think the American experiment is pretty much over. I think things are going to get much, much worse before it gets better if it ever does get better. Our enemies are inside our borders and some of the worst are politicians in DC. I hope they don’t believe they can hide from what’s coming.

I’ve taken a pretty pessimistic point of view when it comes to the future of our country. Everything costs more, crime is rampant, we’re $33 trillion in debt, there is a huge mental health crisis everywhere you look, immigration is unchecked, drugs (fentanyl) are killing 100,000 people a year, and on and on. Top it off with a government that has contempt for its own citizens favoring everyone but citizens, making life harder for the average person and stealing our money to do it. The politicians that claim to love America and Americans do nothing but talk, and the American people are indifferent, apathetic or in full throated support of a government that’s trying to hold them down. And there appears to be no end in sight. And that’s just a small fraction of everything wrong with this country. Not much to be optimistic about.
When the **** does hit the fan, those politicians/mobsters are going to be on some of the first flights out of Andrews to who knows where, never to be heard from again.
And me? I need funds. Where the **** is my bail out!!!

I think the young people will be in for a big wake up call. Us old heads know what it is to struggle. Yes, our lives will take a turn for the worse but, for these young people? Let's just say, their preferred pronouns will be the least of their worries.

I've got a face to face with my broker today trying to not out live my money.
APS, my electric supplier just raised my rate by 12%, Verizon upped my monthly bill 10%, gas at $4 a gallon here is the new standard, and grocery stores where the packages are getting smaller and the prices higher.

I’m not too concerned at this point. We have a few months worth of food stored, and the ability to hunt and fish. Right now they call it “poaching”, soon it will become “subsistence harvesting”.
We live far enough out of town that by the time they really need to flee the bigger cities, the gas to do so will be gone. Our solar system is big enough that we can survive, since there will be no need for any electronic devices. We will be able to charge our electric bikes if we need to get around after the gas is gone.

DJIA 35000 S&P 4500......S&P up 13.7 percent for the year......I don't understand how people can keep paying too much for everything forever. Everyone says they can't find anyone that wants to work....I thought the bottom would have dropped out of it the last year with all the inflation and higher interest rates, but it hasn't.
I just don't get it.
I have some money I want to put to work and need a good crash to jump in, sure as heck not jumping in at these levels.
