Yes. If the same scenario had played out with the only difference that instead of it being the 1st quarter, it was 1 minute left in the 4th, leading by seven on your own 16 and 15 to go for a first, people would be livid.
Just cause a team gives you something does not always mean you take it... if a team, leading by 2 with 1 minute left lets a rb break free for the td... its better he kneel down at the 1, burn off the clock, and kick a chip in fg as time expires than risk the other team driving down and getting the go ahead td...
It was a great film pick up, but there should have been a stop sign on that play ... you gift wrapped a TD for them..
