Not a hell of a lot of guys on that list I'd seriously bring back and not many qb options in free agency and virtually none in the draft.

If the price is right, I look to keep Williams, Jackson, Fields, Herbig and Allen. No one else.

I'm curious about why Herbig? He wasn't very good in training camp until he got injured.

You wouldn't keep Warren as number two running back on RB2 money? Or Elandon Roberts? Before today I would have kept Jackson, but after his lazy effort the play immediately after the Steelers got a sack, I'm not sure I'd want to bring him back.
 
Roberts. Maybe one of the QBs. That’s about it.

Why herbig? He hasn't done anything.

I'd keep elandon Roberts too on the cheap

Warren is Not on that list
 
We need a starting qb... either from that list or elsewhere... Warren is a RFA, so he will be back.. Id like to see Roberts back ... Allen is an ok QB2/3

Loudermilk is an ok DL backup

They do not need one single player on this list. They can all walk.

Get rid of all of them and their coaches
 
Keep Allen if possible
Roberts if he’s cheap
Williams if cheap enough-but he likely wants out I’d bet
Fields if he takes a reasonable deal-likely wants out too


Nothing off that list I’d lose any sleep over losing
 
Between Watt, Highsmith, Heyward, and Minkah, one of them will probably be a cap casualty. The D needs to be able to stop the run and with our front 2 and sometimes 3, they can't do it. Some hard decisions need to be made this offseason.

Moore is gone. Watt, Highsmith, Heyward, Minkah, and GP could be gone come next season. They are already reporting Tomlin is coming back so that's a disappointment. He'll probably fire the DC as his scapegoat when everyone in the Burgh knows Tomlin has been running the D since the final 2 years of LeBeau's tenure. It's a sad state of affairs, if they'll even admit it, and major changes need to happen.
 
I do not understand Minkah's value.

Hayward >>> Minkah in performance and value.

Very disappointed in the late season performance of the TJ & Highsmith combo. But as we saw last night, the scheme totally sucked.

I cannot imagine that many FAs (like Tee Higgns) find Pittsburgh as a probable destination after this season. They just need to watch Mike Williams, Patrick Queen and DesShaun Elliott. Which of them is happy being a Steeler now?

Pump the brakes. The Steelers need to field some players on the roster. They aren't going to move the best players from their defense and just tank the season.
 
These aren't hard decisions. Why pay lots of money to a big name players who doesn't tackle? Pay a no name player a lot less...and he won't tackle either.
