FAs this off season

Pump the brakes. The Steelers need to field some players on the roster. They aren't going to move the best players from their defense and just tank the season.
I'm just saying don't be surprised if it happens. The D can only make incremental changes due to their cap hits. Add Queen to that mix as well. They can't sign anyone but a low end stop gap type player. The D isn't elite now and they don't have the cap to make it elite or even close. They also need to start spending money on the O. This team will be dramatically different in 2 or 3 years.

I'll come out and say I'd be extremely surprised if it happens.

The Steelers already have 21 UFAs and you basically should make it 22 with Larry O. likely to get cut. To add another 3-4 to that mix while creating another 3-4 holes in the starting lineup (3 being at premium positions) is just tanking and putting your job or future jobs at risk as a GM. Plus, Tomlin will be back so there's no chance they won't try to go 9-8 or 10-7 next year to try to squeak into the playoffs and get blown out again.

Cam Sutton should be catapulted out of town.
Worst FA signing of the year, and this coming from someone who was expecting him to be a good addition

The interesting thing about Sutton is despite not performing well, he still got a lot of snaps. Meanwhile, Mike Williams barely got a look and Preston Smith was inactive for the Wild Card game.

You wouldn't keep Warren as number two running back on RB2 money?
Of course I would, he wasn’t on the list.
Or Elandon Roberts?
Roberts is going to command too much money. Queen and Wilson are the future at ILB
Before today I would have kept Jackson, but after his lazy effort the play immediately after the Steelers got a sack, I'm not sure I'd want to bring him back.
Jackson was playing on a back injury, and it showed. He gets the benefit of the doubt from me, due to his year long play.

Having Moon active ahead of Preston can only be caused by injury, or at least is the only thing that makes sense

A whole lotta meh on that list
I fail to see anyone on that list who will matter if they were on the roster; Fraudlin ruins everything. Not a person who would make a difference towards us winning in the playoffs.

Roberts has said multiple times he wants to finish his career in Pittsburgh.
We shall see, his asking price will reveal if that is in fact true. I don’t blame him for trying to get every dollar he can, but the Steelers can’t be the one to do it for him.

I have to admit that I did not verify this, but I trust the guy who posted it. If it's wrong, let me.know. I'll amend it.

Make it 23 - Preston Smith is up for $13m in 2025 so he's probably the first cut.

Between Watt, Highsmith, Heyward, and Minkah, one of them will probably be a cap casualty. The D needs to be able to stop the run and with our front 2 and sometimes 3, they can't do it. Some hard decisions need to be made this offseason.

Moore is gone. Watt, Highsmith, Heyward, Minkah, and GP could be gone come next season. They are already reporting Tomlin is coming back so that's a disappointment. He'll probably fire the DC as his scapegoat when everyone in the Burgh knows Tomlin has been running the D since the final 2 years of LeBeau's tenure. It's a sad state of affairs, if they'll even admit it, and major changes need to happen.
Cutting Highsmith saves bugger all in cap space.

The Steelers have over $50m in cap space and can free up $20m by cutting Preston Smith and Ogunjobi, so I doubt any of the players you mentioned will be moved on to free up cap space.

If any of them are moved it's more likely to be because their performances aren't worth the money.

Did Beanie Bishop get any play time yesterday?
We had to have the coverage blowing woman beater out there, obviously!

I mean how can you justify taking useless off the field?

Only four worth keeping, and I'd not break the bank on any of them. We have to retain one QB, and I'd rather it be Justin than Kyle or Father Time. Roberts might prove to be a step slower next season, but with Queen and Wilson as our only ILBs worth a ****, I bring Roberts back. Najee, yes - he's had 1,000 yards rushing every season behind a **** OL. However, I'd not use the franchise tag on him. Non-exclusive tag Najee. He's one of the top four RBs on the market. Plays hard, runs hard, plays injured and doesnt miss games. yes, I bring him back.

You want a #2 WR - hello Josh Palmer. Good size, good hands and is at least the equivalent of GP in performance. Big upgrade over who we have now in the combo of Jefferson/Williams.

You could let Roberts go and try to sign Spillane back. Interestingly enough, in his four years with us he had 191 total tackles. In his two years with the Raiders, 306!!
