Josh Dobbs says hi.oh you found one. Good for you.
Minkah has to top the list of underperformers vs salary. Then Preston Smith.Cutting Highsmith saves bugger all in cap space.
The Steelers have over $50m in cap space and can free up $20m by cutting Preston Smith and Ogunjobi, so I doubt any of the players you mentioned will be moved on to free up cap space.
If any of them are moved it's more likely to be because their performances aren't worth the money.
I just have no interest in a team who thinks that Van Jefferson should be known an active roster, let alone WR2I believe Tomlin keeps quite a few with his bullshit loyalty above winning approach.
Mike Williams (WR)
James Daniels (G)
Donte Jackson (CB)
Justin Fields (QB)
Russell Wilson (QB)
Nate Herbig (C)
Elandon Roberts (ILB)
Najee Harris (RB)
Damontae Kazee (Safety)
Scotty Miller (WR)
Kyle Allen (QB)
Van Jefferson (WR)
MyCole Pruitt (TE)
Tyler Matakevich (ILB)
Cam Sutton (CB)
Dan Moore (OT)
Isaiahh Loudermilk (DT)
Agree, same with Sutton. But they're "his" guys for some damn reason. Sutton flopping all over the field as Bishop watches on the sidelines for no reason.I just have no interest in a team who thinks that Van Jefferson should be known an active roster, let alone WR2
If Daniels doesn’t command too much he would be a good bring back.Donte Jackson was the best secondary player for a lot of the season. I would resign.
Roberts is the best run stopping LB. as we are in the AFC North I would resign.
Daniels? depends on the price same with Najee.
Torn on QB. not sure best way to go
Donte JacksonI have to admit that I did not verify this, but I trust the guy who posted it. If it's wrong, let me.know. I'll amend it.

Preston Smith was only 1.6 M this yearMinkah has to top the list of underperformers vs salary. Then Preston Smith.
Generally agree but I'd keep Donte, especially after being a trade from the other DJ. We do need to invest at CB but the bigget hole is at Nickel. A group of JPJ, DJ and Trice is solid at outside, if we invest in the draft should then it should be at Nickel, in my opinion.Alright, after a week to settle, here's what I'm looking at.
QBs
Russell Wilson - WALK
Wilson was worth a shot. A veteran QB with what was supposed to be a good running game and dominant defense should've done better. All three areas struck out when it mattered most.
Justin Fields - SIGN
They aren't going to take a big swing with a trade, the draft has little to offer, and Fields is the most intriguing free agent option. His legs are a weapon, but passing is up and down. Still, you need a QB to create out of structure and I'd rather go with a young, cheap option rather than waste cap space on a QB who won't get the Steelers over the hump.
Kyle Allen - SIGN
Keep a consistent veteran backup in the system.
RBs
Najee Harris - WALK
He's been a good volume producer, but the Steelers need a playmaker at the position and this is a deep draft for running backs.
WRs/TEs
Mike Williams - WALK
Wasted draft pick trading for him. He couldn't get on the field for an offense desperate for a receiver. I don't know what they'll do with Pickens, but hopefully Austin and Wilson will take a step forward next year along with a big veteran signing and early draft pick. Williams doesn't offer enough..
Scotty Miller - SIGN
I know he's gone, but I'd sign him as a depth option for training camp.
Van Jefferson - WALK
Some will say sign him to compete for the WR4/5 spot. I would be fine with that, but I want the Steelers to go in a different direction to add players with more upside.
MyCole Pruitt - WALK
It's too tempting for Arthur Smith to use Pruitt when he has Freiermuth and Washington, which is a solid 1-2 duo at tight end.
OL
James Daniels - WALK
If not for his major injury, I would've wanted to re-sign him and cut Seumalo just to go with the younger offensive line. That is just a significant injury to come back from.
Dan Moore - WALK
An excellent LT that a team should give a huge contract to. Let's get a 3rd-round comp pick for Moore.
Nate Herbig -WALK
He's another some will want to keep, I just prefer offensive linemen with more athleticism. For his size, I don't see dominating power and he's coming off a major upper body injury. However, since he's a relative of another player on the team they'll probably keep him.
DL
Isaiahh Loudermilk - SIGN
Only because he's one of their younger depth players. Definitely a small contract.
LB
Elandon Roberts - SIGN
Love this type of player on the defense and he complements Wilson/Queen.
Tyler Matakevich - WALK
He didn't offer enough on special teams to sign. Mark Robinson seems to fill that role very nicely now and he can be a long-term special teams ace.
DBs
Donte Jackson - WALK
He had his moments this year, but it was a one-year rental. The Steelers have been passing one really good CB prospects in the draft lately at the expense of other positions. I think they take at least two this year if the talent is there.
Cam Sutton - WALK
He was a bust of a signing.
Damontae Kazee - WALK
Another position they need to get younger at.
I know there are some other players that would be on this list. If there are minimum salary players for camp depth, go for it. The Steelers need to use this offseason to set up a big move for a QB in next year's draft. It'll be electric in Pittsburgh for the draft if we can get a legit QB prospect in the first round.
I was a Sutton fan when he came out of Tennessee. he wasnt taught to let the WRs run by him in college. this new defensive scheme doesnt fit his skills/talent.Agree, same with Sutton. But they're "his" guys for some damn reason. Sutton flopping all over the field as Bishop watches on the sidelines for no reason.
I think the time off plus off field problemas messed him up. He wasn't good in coverage, he wasn't good in run support, he was just a wrong pick up. And I was rooting for him on draft day tooI was a Sutton fan when he came out of Tennessee. he wasnt taught to let the WRs run by him in college. this new defensive scheme doesnt fit his skills/talent.
I think it’ll be dramatically different next year. I think 4 or 5 of the starters on offense will change.I'm just saying don't be surprised if it happens. The D can only make incremental changes due to their cap hits. Add Queen to that mix as well. They can't sign anyone but a low end stop gap type player. The D isn't elite now and they don't have the cap to make it elite or even close. They also need to start spending money on the O. This team will be dramatically different in 2 or 3 years.
The time off was definitely a factor, but I don't blame him at all. Tomlin should have seen him struggle like he supposedly did with Roman Wilson, who he didn't play in a desperate situation with the WR core, but he allowed Sutton to be out of position and clearly struggled with game speed while Beenie was on the sideline. Tomlin had a fix and he chose not to play him.I think the time off plus off field problemas messed him up. He wasn't good in coverage, he wasn't good in run support, he was just a wrong pick up.
