Fortune favors the bold!!

Picking up an expensive vet isn’t something we do often but we had some real crappy drafts we could a use a little veteran leadship at the wr spot! We need someone to really kick this offense in the *** and give the qb some confidence. First down pass to Adams, run, run, bomb to Pickens TD… this offense could be special it’s sickening to see it stall series after series because lack of imagination… why they don’t run fields is shocking! Do they really think he can be a pocket qb? Havent we seen that box office bomb before? Watch the redskins then watch us… it makes you sick to see the waste of talent on the steelers because of really bad coaching… year in year out unimaginative offenses, players unprepared, poor game management, poor play calling, year after year till no one knows any better. Id give my right nut just to see this offensive once again run the old Steeler trap, that begat 4 Super Bowl trophies, just once again to see them line up run the qb sweep the one Lombardi copied that gave Green Bay what 5 championships. Steelers know how to win… the coaches they bring in from Bumfuk University not so much!

The Raiders are not a bad team. He wants out at week 4. Isn't a big enough pass on him.
He wanted out last year, this is nothing new. The reports appear to seem to be that he wants to go to the Jets. If he had the Steelers on the list I would absolutely pursue the move. This team has been stuck in the middle for too long and if they want to contend need to make some big moves. Again, since Adams seems to have a target destination, it's not worth talking about, but this team hasn't won a playoff game in a long time. That needs to change.

The Netflix show on wrs portrayed a different light.
He isn't being used correctly; he'd look good in Black'nGold as some would say.
Not sure if you are being sarcastic. I'm being paid crazy to play. I don't like how I'm being used in the offense. I quit. Pass.

What is going to p!ss me off is that we'll see the Chiefs somehow come up with the goods to pull off some trade for a replacement WR that would have helped us. While we sit in the corner and hold our nuts.

We are not going to get to the next level until we start doing what it takes to put together the pieces to get to the next level.

The 'wait till next year' mentality is just too slow, while these other organizations are running circles around us.

Save us Omar Khan, you're our only hope.

Adams wants to go where there is a seasoned QB who will pump his numbers, that isn't Pittsburgh right now. He wants a reunion with Carr or head to NY with Rogers.

So much to unpack there…

1) you nailed it- too expensive, wants QB money…he sure is an expensive vet and over 30. Red flag-pass
2) crappy drafts? They’ve been excellent as of late imho
3) veteran leadership- dude is afraid of being hit, we don’t need Sally’s as our “leadership”
4) give QB confidence? I’m sure his sideline tirades do that, lmao. He’s an awful teammate with those displays and trying to infect those he’s speaking to as well. I wouldn’t want GP around that dude’s attitude
5) the offense has been possessing the ball and getting plenty of 1st downs. The stalls have largely been from self inflicted wounds. Stop with the penalty and OL being a mess and it will be cleaned up imo

Hard pass

Also Hopkins has a messed up mcl this year

Didn’t know that, dang. I guess we need a big play m,aker and Adam’s does fit that bill. Our “stars” are agreeing and won’t be around forever. I’d hate to see Coach Tomlin waste away the talent again as he has done in the past.

Salute the nation

I think I would rather spend $$$ on a steady guard or another tackle than adams.

Probably a cheaper option would be Kirk. He can be a decent WR2. The Jags have no clue what they are doing and he is still young and has not reached his ceiling. He showed what he can do in his rookie year. I would think we could get him for maybe a 3rd round pick and hopefully less than that. This is assuming the Jags want to trade him.

There are several guys who may be on the market in the next few weeks.
Kirk is interesting. Ideally Denver falls out of things and decides to part ways with Sutton..

Adams is just too expensive. Let the Jets have him. He is 32 about to turn 33... if he had a cheap cap hit, was younger so was a long term fix or they were offering him for peanuts, then it would be a better idea... but he is old, Pricey to acquire, and comes at a premium cap hit..

And i am not certain he really helps as much as people think...

Many teams add extra stars and get no benefit because what they needed was the right roleplayer at the position..,

Exactly .
We do not need a WR who wants to be WR1 or compete with Pickens; we need more productivity from all WRs not named Pickens

Aiyuk was fools gold, guy had one top 10 wr finish in his career, Adams is old with alot of miles but doesn't look shot, could make a huge difference for the offense. Game changer. Defenses would have to account for Pickens and Adams, It would open everything else up, The run, Fields running and Muth over the middle. as one poster said. It would also give Fields every opportunity to succeed. We would know definitively what we have at QB by the end of the season, and the best WR tandem in the league, seems like a pipe dream but
Sign me up
Hopkins is 32 years old. Every time I see him play,I always think he’s overrated. Might be just me. He isn’t terribly expensive. I just really don’t want to give up high draft picks for anyone. As I am not convinced that we have a future QB on our roster yet.
Hopkins has been shot for a few years, Adams isn't peak but he's still got some juice

Mad has a good line on this. The thing is Adams contract for 2025 and 2026 isn’t guaranteed, so there is nothing limiting tearing up that contract and create a more effective satisfactory compensation. Or, Vegas can absorb some of the contract to improve additional draft compensation (some prognosticators say a 2nd and a conditional 5th to 4th.) Or Omar will wait for the deadline which is a week later this year, there may be teams (JAX or DEN) who may be out of the race who will be willing to deal.

absolutely ******* not. adams is a cancer, he has a horrific attitude, doesn't like being hit, i can't even begin to imagine the bad influence he'd be on a guy like pickens. he'd be exactly the type of guy to lead this offense into the tank
