It appears the Pittsburgh Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger will get back a very important weapon on Monday night.

Freiermuth posted that image on Instagram tonight. Obviously he still has to clear concussion protocol, but it appears the tight end has deemed himself ready.

Don't even bother with "they have doctors". A doctor can clear a player to play. He cannot and I believe would not say it's a good idea. Everything we know about concussions is that if given proper time and rest you can make a full recovery but if he takes another good one that will be three and that's a lot of withdrawal on the conky account. But knowing our dipshit coach I have little to no doubt he will play this kid even though the situation is beyond hopeless.

Some of you crack me up. You will even make up a hypothetical, and rip Tomlin on that.

If he is cleared, he should play. That's what he gets paid for. Any coach would play him if he clears.

Like I keep saying, cmon, man, most of us want Tomlin gone. But geez.

The head coach has to manage the here and now and consider the future. No not every coach would play him. If he was your franchise future at QB would he play? This team has little to I would say literally no chance of a deep run in the playoffs. You are ****** around with a guy who could be a 7-10 year starter.

So all you do is ***** about Tomlin...which is fine. This is probably it for Ben. Wouldn't you like him to go out on a high if remotely possible? And it is possible. They have beaten the Bills, Titans, and Ravens this year, so anything is possible, even with as bad as they look sometimes. I don;'t think they'll make the playoffs much less make a run. But you have gone this far in the year with Ben, I don't know why the hell you wouldn't give him every possible weapon to succeed the last 2 weeks and see what happens.

I guarantfuckintee you if he would sit guys and Ben goes out with 3 straight losses there will be guys on here bitching about how could Tomlin let that happen?

Just reading the extent of some of the stupidity on here almost makes me want to support Tomlin just for spite. It is ridiculous at times.

I want Freiermuth to catch Roethlisberger's final touchdown pass.

his first TD of the night and 6 TDs later, with the win his last one of the night as well.

Go live in your ****** fantasy world. Yeah I want Ben and the team to go out winners on Sunday. But I'm not gonna sacrifice a good young talent for it. That is just stupid. Three concussions in one season is a hell of a lot.

Stop being such an over dramatic *****. They are paid to play football. If cleared and healthy he should play. End of story.

What are you going to do? Because ****, Harris could get hurt in one of these games. Dointae Johnson could get hurt. TJ Watt. How about they sit every player who may be important to their future and bring up nothing but practice squad players to fill out the roster to assuage your sensitivities?

You act as if the Steelers lousy play at times is on purpose just to piss you off. Knock it off.

You know who else is paid to play football. Tuitt. Where the **** is he? There is a huge difference between any one of the players on your list and a guy on two concussions in 5 or 6 weeks. It's just a ****** dumb risk. But pretty much every move Tomlin makes is ****** dumb and makes no sense.
There is no scan on concussions to say he is healed. There is just base line clearance. So he proforms his tasks to the same level and he can exercise without fatigue or headache through the protocol. The certainty they know is the first one makes the second easier and the second makes the third easier. Until you are given I don't know 6th months to heal. At least one of us has taken on field certification in head injury management for football. Tell me is it two or just one?

Tomlin has proven he doesn't know any other way but to run them till the wheels fall off thus gauranteed Freiermuth will play.

This isn't some made up BS.

Stop it. Tomlin sucks. I agree, for the love. But you are inventing things to get mad at him over. His job is to field the best team he can week in and week out. That includes playing guys who are healthy enough to play. There is risk for every player on every play. It is the game.

You are right about Tuitt, though. Heck, I forgot about him to be honest.

But still and to the point. Come Monday night you will probably have enough to be mad at him about without inventing stuff.

If Friermuth gets blown up in the next two weeks look back at your posts. I'm not inventing anything. It's called being proactive. Head injury isn't like an ankle or a hamstring.

But they are football players. They are paid to play. And who has he "run the wheels off" of? Can you truly say any injury a player sustained in Tomlin's tenure was due to "running the wheels off"? Or was it just like most injuries...they just happen? Pick any offensive lineman anywhere, who are taking a pounding every play. Should they sit a few games a year if healthy enough to play? Are they getting the "wheels run off" of them?

If the Steelers would have won last week in KC, be honest, would this even be a thread?

No offense but you are a ****** idiot. They got Harris in the first round and look at his touches. That is exactly what Iron City is saying. And the loss in KC is exactly my point. If this team is in the hunt at all then maybe, maybe it's risk reward. Because the one thing you are right about is they are paid to play. What is the reward here? And again. Do you have any head injury management experience at all?

That is fine. There are risks in playing the game of football. I hope it doesn't happen, but I will not rip Tomlin for playing a guy deemed healthy enough to play.

Think about what you are saying. A major injury could happen at any time. A bad enough ankle or knee or whatever could end a guys career just as fast as a head. So, Najee Harris has a sore knee...sit him. He could blow it up. Tj Watt has ribs. Sit him. They could get more broke I guess. You keep going down this road you won't field a team.

Look, you are wrong on this one. I know you won't admit it...you are committed now. But your argument is dumb.

LeVeon bell was way over used, kept him in the game to obtain a play off yards record even though the win was evident and only to be out the next game very shortly in. Add in a full season of not much rest and over-use contributing to fatigue and that PO injury

Willie parker same thing nearly but his injury was derived durring the season and this is just a couple off the top of my head.

If you don't think Tomlin has never overused players or doesn;t have that history then that is your opinion, mine is what I have stated.

Thank you

Oh, none taken. No offense, haha.

Answer the question I posed. Can you prove that any injury was due to "running wheels off" or was it just what happens? You can't and you know it. it is just another stupid argument. And like I keep saying, there is plenty that we see week in and week out on the field to realize Tomlin needs to go. We don't need to invent ****.

I'm sorry. That is pure speculation. You cannot show any of those injuries were due to overuse.

I wouldn't use the term to player. I would use it to running back. He takes a lead back and absolutely runs the wheels off. Other teams don't do that. No one can take those kinda hits. No one.

The Titans with Henry. Are you gonna tell me his injury was due to "running wheels off?"

Don't give me that **** about hits. A lineman has a collision every play. Every damn one. Why no great concern about them?

Again. Do you know anything about head injury management or are you just talking out of your ***.
Do you?

I realize that if the player goes through the protocols and is declared ready to play by medical professionals, he should play. If not, he shouldn't play. Holy ****. In no way am I saying he should play if not cleared.

What are you saying? Do you want to reinvent the protocols to suit you and certain players? Are you a greater expert that the doctors who have done the baseline testing and see the player every day?
