They're not converted into first downs because there is a line of defenders at the first down line. The Steeler catches the ball and is faced with a wall of defenders he needs to get past to get the first down. It doesn't help that all of these plays have no blockers in front of the receiver.

We did do enough to win and if I was giving game balls out it would be to our two corners. They had a great night. Once we went to the prevent sub-package and Maulet was in the game it started to go horribly wrong. The injury to Buggs didn't help either.

Let's hope they find a way to not put Maulet out on the edge with speed guys because he is a liability in those situations.
