Game Balls, Game Goats & FU's.........vs Raiders

Game ball - Boswell? That's about it. Maybe Harris or Harvin
Goat - Wrs, too many drops / mental errors
FU - Turner and Tomlin. We seemed to regress with adjustments and not going for it on 4th and a foot when we had a decimated D and couldn't stop the Raiders all day was beyond idiotic

OH and FU to Trai Turner!!! Spitting on anyone is diguisting and he will now probably get a multiple game suspension!!! Asshat...
I was at the game and was not sure what happened. Spitting on someone is the lowest, but even if it happened to him first…no excuse for doing the same. Just breath the guy’s *** and I’m ok with you taking the penalty.

The problem is always Tomlin, especially against the Raiders. Good to go for it on 4th and 4 and down 3 at the end of the first, but not on 4th and 1 down two scores with 8 and change left in the game! By the way, I guess there was no thought of trying the FG on that 4th and 4, which is essentially the same kick Boz did make in the 4th. Furthermore, at the end of the first half, Tomlin uses none of his timeouts and lets the Raiders milk the clock and kick the FG to take a 9-7 lead into halftime. He never knows how to use his ****** timeouts to save time for his team in a close contest. He's still clock clueless after 15 damn seasons. And an honorable mention goes to Canada. Simply put, his offense blows.

This was a game where the Offense had to step up and win the game. They were mediocre or worse ... again.

This is going to be a long season if **** keeps the same.

Even with the other injuries, it was clear that this defense is significantly worse without Watt in there pressuring the quarterback and making big plays. One touchdown allowed in fifteen opponents' possessions with him, two touchdowns in six without him. I knew that the Highsmith hype was unwarranted. He disappears for large portions of the game.

Carr had elusiveness and pinpoint accuracy most of the day, Ben didn't. That was the major difference in the game. Tomlin giving up and punting on 4th-and-18 inches (down by two scores with eight minutes and change left) cemented the result.

Mediocrity, thy name is Tomlin. Many here have said that the Steelers don't win another Super Bowl until Tomlin is gone. I am struggling to find a reason to disagree with that assessment.

The past fourteen seasons, four different offensive coordinators, two different defensive coordinators, roster completely overhauled, an entirely different group of offensive linemen, defensive linemen, WR's, secondary and the same failures appear again and again and again and again while one thing remains the same - Mike Tomlin.

Just can't fathom the logic to punt on 4th and 1???
He did the same thing against Buffalo on 4th and goal. Took the 3. That game worked out but still the wrong decision.

And seriously - hire a coordinator just to manage the clock. Can't continue to make decisions on gut and feel.

It is pretty clear that the new awefense is awful. We have a trio of softies out there, DJ, Claypool and Ebron who quit on plays and can't catch ****. The blocked punt last week covered up how awful this offense truly is. Gonna be a tough season, and now the injury bug has found us.

After watching the replay and taking all the spent energy as we all did yesterday...... Game balls...Najee Harris, Pat Freiermuth.. the only two player that had some hart, gave their all tried for extra yards, half a ball to Ben only player or coach who took all the blame ( BLAME for what ...player out of position, receivers who cannot get separation, a line all standing tall when QB on the ground ten times, secondary that cannot cover or tackle as we saw time after time yards after catch, Ben shaking his head more than a few times with the plays called. Yes the only one to take the blame on a team that has no leaders, no gitty up and go, no emotion at all)
Goats the entire coaching staff and especially Tomlin who his mighty speech was WE need not I need and then his plethora of words that meant nothing post game. Then allow Ben to once more take all the blame.. great leadership we have.

FU go for all other players that had no guts to take any reasonability for the bad play. Tomlin of go for it four and what five and then down six fourth and one punt and have the stupid sense to say we thought the defense would stop Raiders. They had not stopped them all day and the score could have easily been 21 nothing except they shot themselves in the foot every time they passed the twenty. This team under Tomlin has sunk to a new low. W E were totally lucky last week and for what three four year they have tanked under this leadership. You cannot see one area they improved from last week. We as fans give up way more energy than we see on the sidelines of the Steelers. Tomlin just gets that look and pouty lips as if he has no clue of an answer. Gruden so out coached Tomlin yesterday, Do we ever hear Tomlin has this game plan to go after a weakness of a team, well Gruden sure did.

Tomlin is a poor head coach being propped up by a great QB and organization his entire tenure . He is a poor mans Marvin Lewis who got the crappy Bengals organization to 5 straight playoffs something Tomlin has never done. Think of f that for a moment. Think Tomlin would have had a winning record as the Bengals head coach for all those years ?

Wouldn't Tomlin be a rich man's Marvin Lewis?

No he is a chat below Lewis did more with less while Tomlin does led with more.

Lewis would have done better than Tomlin if he had been here and Tomlin would have done worse with the Bengals if he had been there.

Marvin Lewis never won a single playoff game in 16 seasons as a head coach. That's poor, man.

Ben really wasn't that awful. And, on his interception, not only was there holding on the play but Diontae gave up on the play because he thought he was going to get the call. If he plays through it, he may not have caught the ball but he would have had a good shot of making sure the interception doesn't happen. He needs to learn to play through contact, period. He has had so many errors in 2 games, I've lost count. The only good thing is he isn't dropping the ball like last year. He's just running wrong routes or giving up on plays.

You think Tomlin would have made the playoffs 5 straight yeasts with the BengAls like Lewis did. He has never made the playoffs 5 straight years with the Steelers. Talking about poor.

Chicoman, my man....how about a new rule....NO GAME BALLS GIVEN OUT TO ANYONE WHEN WE LOSE!!!! To the victors goes the spoils, not when you lose. Never seen it whenever I played or competed....on any level. Just saying???

DJ plays soft. Not making any effort to stay inbounds after that long catch was horrible. He doesn't seem strong enough to get off the jam and goes down with even the slightest contact. And for all his speed, he rarely seems to run away from anyone.

Ebron should not see the field again. Can't block. Can't catch. 'Muth should be the guy. Then Gentry (although the 3rd TE should be Rader)

If Claypool plays soft, put Ray Ray in ..... can't be any worse and maybe Claypool'll start to play with a chip on his shoulder if he sits a while.
