Game Balls, Game Goats & FU's...........week 8..........vs Packers.....

I used to be able to talk **** to my co-workers when it was Steelers v. Colts week. Now I have to keep my mouth shut. It sucks. F Tomlin.

This is the softest Steeler D of the entire Super Bowl era. Just a bunch of names with no production to back it up expect maybe Ramsey. Thornhill should be cut immediately after that shitshow yesterday and Queen and Slay are next on that list. Porter is a backup on any other team…

Like I told a friend of mine this team isn’t good for my health .

They are more than often an embarrassment.

I have two biological relatives I just found out died early. I have no desire to follow their lead.

Sadly a team that I hadn’t missed a single snap for over two decades running has gotten to a point of check the box score at halftime or the 4th quarter and see if they’re worth an hour of my time this week.

They’ve taken a definite fall on the “things to do worth my time” list.

Last night I had other obligations and tuned in to start the 3rd quarter…that was a mistake. Literally only wanted to see if Boz would break some sort of 50+ yard FGs made record. I knew they would ultimately disappoint even with the lead heading into the half.

Would love for this team to become an enjoyable and unpredictable watch once again.

  • Absolutely TERRIBLE performance, Coaches and Defense
  • Offense plays well enough to compete when needed, welcome to the NFL Roman
  • I predicted Kraft would have a great day against us

  • Pittsburgh Defense, $113.23M against the cap
    • 0 (ZERO) sacks, goose egg!!!
    • Highsmith and Queen, 3 tackles each (and those numbers are suspicious)
      • CB's had more tackles than those super expensive LB's
  • Green Bay Defense, $91.62M against the cap
    • 3 sacks
I didn't notice that Queen was injured pre-game, oh wait, he wasn't.

Can we PLEASE stop signing everyone else's garbage (Queen/Slay)

NOTE on Bungles. I also predicted the JETS would get their first one this weekend against the Bengals. Go figure!

Also, I saw some media crap about Steelers wanting to sign ARod through the 2026 season. HA, good luck! Did you see that guy during and after the game. He is ready to retire now.

I am a firm believer Howard is our future!

I posted some time in the summer or around the draft, that Tomlin has totally sucked the excitement out of this franchise, it's no longer, "we have a shot at making a Super Bowl" to as long we don't have a losing season that's a success, Tomlin gets his 18 million per, gets his new contract, even though we get embarrassed in the playoffs, it's all good, never had a losing season, he'll be the winningest coach in franchise history before he retires. I wonder how many coach of the year votes he'll get this year?

This is embarrassing.
No other words.
The ONLY time I can compare the last 10+ years to is the 10 years prior to Noll and Greene arriving in '69.
We have the Charlie Brown rain cloud following us around.
We are currently the New York Knights prior to Roy Hobbs being allowed in a game.

Gameballs - Boswell. Another money game and we didn't give him easy kicks. Warren was having a good game when they let him run the ball. Wilson got to play and made a little impact.

Goats - The whole defense? Can't tackle, cover, get qb pressure, or stop the run.

FUs - Tomlin. At least he said they are going to start with the schematics because "some of these problems are somewhat repetitive." You think?!?

Austin - Think he is a scapegoat but the defense is terrible in all aspects. If we don't get lucky turnovers we get torched.

Smith - not sure he deserves to be on here, but we got rid of the jumbo package when it was working. I know we had an injury but at least try it.

Dead last in pass defense and 30th in total defense out of 32 teams.
Highest paid defense by 30 million and this is the ROI? Holy crap this is horrible.
At the very least Terrell Austin needs to be relieved of his duties immediately even though he’s just a figurehead.
They do not need to make any trades for WR or any other position. This team and organization is badly broken so keep your draft picks.

TJ Watt is on pace to have 9-10 sacks this season after having 11.5 last season. He is scheduled to make $32 million base salary in 2026. I’m thinking he is playing somewhere else for a lot less next year.

Although I agree this is probably what needs to happen, the dead money cap hit just one year removed from the resigning has got to be prohibitive doesn’t it?

I don't think TJ's play has dropped off. I think the QB can easily dump it off quickly to his choice of wide open receivers, negating even the best of pass rushers. The problem on D is not the players, it's the dumb *** scheme. I think this is a top 3 defense under every other coaching staff in the league.

TJ Watt if he continues at this pace and ends up with 10 sacks they need to strongly consider moving him in the offseason if they can. Could be difficult with that inflated salary but how can they justify paying him for the meager results.
Highsmith is another one who since he signed his extension has done little to justify it.
This defense badly needs to get younger and flush out some if these aging players.
Slay, Thornhill need to get on with their life’s work.
This needs to be Heywards’ last season here.
Nicky Herbig perhaps their best pass rusher played 20 snaps. Why?
Beanie Bishop, buried on the depth chart. Why?
On offense, Kaleb Johnson the third round RB has gone missing. More mis management of players.
I guess he’s getting the same treatment as Roman Wilson was receiving.

Tomlin is stupid.

Tomlin is stupid.

So you’re saying he’s getting smarter!!!

Stupid would be an upgrade for that moronic imbecile that’s always jabbering and pissing down his leg…we could do something if he upgraded to stupid.

At this point just turn it all over to Aaron and send Tomlin and Austin on a bonding retreat for the rest of the season. I’ll take Aaron calling the defensive plays when he ain’t busy running the offense. At least he has a clue what the offense is doing to the D.

Watt or anyone can't do much when the QB is throwing slants / swing passes. I'm sure TJ has lost a step, but i don't think he is the issue. We play Chase / Higgins man to man, but soft zone against the packers receivers who are not as good. Kraft is having a very good year and he didn't even seem to factor into our gameplan. They were so "focused" on stopping the run which is why I think herbig was not in there more. I agree on bishop he has some ball skills at least. As for Wilson he barely played when CAIII was out, which should have been his audition. Now when CAIII comes back Wilson gets more playing time. They just have no rhyme or reason to what they are doing

I’m not at all sure, but I think the cap hit might be about the same if he’s on the team or not ~$65 million? The difference being whether half of it is salary or accelerated signing bonus. So the upside of doing it would be they’d be in better shape for 2027 and the downside would be paying him ~$65 million to play for someone else in 2026.

So this is how Redskins fans felt in the late 90’s with their big name/big moneyFAs who amounted to squat? Stubblefield, Deion, Haynesworth, Jeff George…

Watt did next to nothing from November last season when we went into that spin. Scheme might not be the best but $40 million players should be able to find a way to make an impact.

He had 5 sacks and 2 FF from November on which is not terrible. He was first in FF, 8th in sacks, and 2nd in TFL overall. So last year was not as bad as people seem to think. We also played much better teams the back half and our offense was terrible. I don't know how you expect TJ to make plays when QBs are throwing the ball before any human could physically get there. There were also times he is double teamed and chipped. He needs some help physically and schematicaly. Teams figured out the quick passing attack is our weakness. The only way to make a play is bat down passes or have him drop into coverage or just overload his side with a blitz.

Watt had a very good game vs Philly last year then went downhill ever since. He had by my count 2 tackles 5 assists zero sacks in games after Philly, including no stats in the playoff game. Yes it was against very good teams. Maybe we shouldn't play him those games. The best players are supposed to shine when they are up against the best.

It hasn't been that way every game. TJ is still good, but his play has really fallen off from his truly dominant level.

No one disagrees. The question is how much of that is scheme, and how much is age?

I don't even like the ****** NFL product as a whole. It's lame football with ****** rules&refs ,they're greedy, overpriced, and really not worth the time anymore.

If not for the Steelers,I wouldn't watch any of it.

It's obvious the season ticket holders found something else to do as well.

Check please. Time for another hobby.
I was on tic toc and caught the women's bikini league. put them girls in some real pads and uniforms and they would put the nfl out of business. they hit like the 70s and 80s nfl players did, and their in ******* bikinis. unreal.
