Bad Ben turns to EXCELLENT Ben

Bell huge early..held in check a while...makes enough plays down the stretch to win it

Brown awesome in the second half...huge play extending that ball for the winning TD

OL....great job keeping Ben upright and opening some holes for Bell

Defense....why overall okay...but just one big stop the last time the rats had the ball and I wouldn't have damn near had a heart attack

Bos....keep the kick offs inbounds please


Ayers....nice block in the first half and again on Bell's rushing TD....good effort on the long PI play...he had a step on the defender and he made a mistake.....nice catch late and got out of bounds to stop the clock....not a bad first outing....

I thought your boy Ayers accounted real well. Gets a full audition on returns etc. Next week in my opinion. If he can hold onto a football why not him instead of Tusaunt. I'd like to get DHB playing too and D'will. I'm very pleased with Roger's progress. He was clutch tonight.
 
Ben made the ravens defense look jv in the 4th quarter. He was unstoppable.
 
I thought our d gave up too many yards in the middle of the field on short pass plays. They bit on every fake eatly in the game too.
 
I agree Coolie, the best part of Ayres' that shows starting potential, was his blocking. Usually receivers don't hold blocks that long, let alone receivers playing in their first game!

Also great game for Eli, we need a number 2, and last night, he was that #2 we needed!

Thoughts on offense. To beat the better teams, we need Rogers and someone else ( James, or Green ) to make their plays when called upon. They did it yesterday. Ben, Brown and Bell can win games. Each of them made the type of plays that did.

Thoughts on defense: The pass rush and coverage to prevent big plays is better, but we lack the middle and short type of coverage.

Special teams. Boswell needs to do better on kickoffs, and he will. Berry hasn't been as good. The return game is average. Kick coverage decent.

Coaching. Why does the offense get so conservative and seem to need to be down points to open up?

Fans. I felt they were a little too quiet after our first touchdown to too long of a period.

He rose up to the moment, but starting material? That will take a lot more shown. Rogers might have starting potential. The coaches needs to break out the green bay and New England tapes to see how best to use him as they have similar players.

My vote for the most improved player on offense? James. He's doing much better as a blocker.
 
Ayers had some nice moments last night. The PI was huge and if the cb doesn't it's a huge play maybe a td. That block was stout for a little guy. And he had a nice catch. Arrow points up
 
I still cannot get over that 4th quarter comeback. It was one of, if not the best comebacks I have ever seen.
 
Good game and if you enjoy watching sloppy tackling and an ever present "free catch" zone in the middle of the defense..... you got a bonus Overall the defense is improving but there is still some work to do. The "kids" are starting to spread their wings on pass defense and the run 'D' will improve when we can stop playing our practice squad guys on the line. They made it exciting, that's for sure. Big Ben can be a four letter word at times but when it comes time to get to gettin'....there's non better. The receiver's bench is starting to look strong and it's a damn good thing we have AB and Bell.

I don't really forsee any chance gettin' a ticket to ' the dance ' but I would love to be proven wrong.....

It was a little concerning the Rats were running on us in the 2nd half.
Bos- wth? Hope it was a brainfart, twice.
Our O showed how unstoppable they can be. The Rats D couldn't stop us and Ben was brilliant. When the Rats scored to take the lead, I didn't think we wouldn't score, even to tie it up. Our O tipped the scale. It was glorious Xmas win.

I don't read other MBs but when I see these, it's like we are in the other team's fans heads. I worry only about our STEELERS and could give a **** less about other teams especially when they have no berring on us. **** the bungles

The o-line had probably there best game of the year. No sacks of Ben, and we ran the ball on them better than any other team all year. Ravens have some monsters up front.
 
Brown against two defenders one being a pro bowl LBer, made the Steelers play of the year and enforced his will and extended that hand over the goal, TD -That is a unforgettable play.
Eli Rogers stepped up, and that one extending catch was a thing of beauty, As the pass was a little off the mark. Very clutch catch.
Grimble made a sweet early TD. On a small scale but notable.
Jesse James throughout the year had some drops that irritated me, he had a decent game.
Ben looked good first drive, **** the bed, then came back and ended the birds season. Rollah coasterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. But came thru in the clutch.
D- Oh the D they showed glimpses of that Dallas late drive killer, and need to tweak that over the middle wide open coverages. But overall showed the improvement they showed in the winning streak/trend. Perhaps they tired with being on the field far too often early due to O's divebomb.
Dupree although he had a sack. we need to see more pressure from him on the QB. I have seen enough of this pass rush two now next year the Steelers will need to bring in two OLbers one in the draft and a free agent to upgrade Jarvis Jones. Which shouldn't be mission difficult. He sucks Donkey jism.
That D-line held up pretty damn well for missing a Tuitt and a Heyward. Hargrave is a keeper.
I saw a emotional Tomlin, interacting ...motivating. And although I don't think he is the X and O coach. I was happy he was in there getting his hands dirty. Sometimes effort on a talented team, can push a team in the right direction.This team looked like hot garbage early, and he put them in the position to rebound and win the division. He has his faults, but right now even the most diehard Tomlin hater should recognize he has given us a chance to be great. HE gets a two thumbs up from me in that regard.
The O-line. Kept Ben upright and not to be undone open up lanes for Bell. Against a very solid run D, having a 100 yard+ runner? Not too ******* shabby.
 
Well, I took Spike's advice and took a quick visit to the Bungals and Ravens boards. Something I never do.

Ravens fans: fire Harbs, O and D coordinators, trade Flacco, Suggs needs to retire. Hire Jeff Fisher, Mike Shanahan and trade for Payton, Steelers don't deserve to be in the PO. How could AB's play stand- stupid rule. Missed calls. Ravens suck and needs a cleansing, replace everyone.

Bungals fans: Fire Marv. Ravens suck. Squealers suck worse. Fire Marv, get Shananhan or McDaniels in there.

Sounds familiar after a disappointing season.
 
I never visit those board anymore, why? I don't give a ****. This is the team I love and care about. Those dimwitted fans can go **** themseves.

Boooom That is solid gold right there. Funny how watching your most hated rival win a huge game and large amounts of Christmas cheer brings out the self -truth. I think that was the best of it last night. Just thinking of all of the Rattard and Bunghole fans just seething on Christmas Day. Eating their turkey and ham with churning guts. Hope their kids went to bed early to avoid the drunken wrath. I swear if the Rats had won, the ****** Bengals would have jaked next week for sure. Guaranteed. Marvin Lewis' hatred of the Steeelrs runs deeper than a lot of the fans.

Ahahaha LMAO when I read that. I never check out other teams message boards but if they have meltdowns like this it might be some pretty good entertainment.
