Good article

If they have another collapse Thursday night this is going to get real ugly. Idk, I’ve made my feelings known on this site about Tomlin so not getting into that. What I do know this team far to many times looks unprepared, not in focus, lack of detail, disorganized, sloppy and it has one common denominator.

For many years.

It's beginning to snow ball for this guy. I hope Rooney is listening.

From the article - which one?

Him, or Him with the "stunning touchdown celebration" as quoted? Seems these types of articles are popping up quite a lot recently.

But if there is any chance of moving on it has to get real ugly. They squeeze out a playoff appearance nothing will change, even though they have zero shot of winning anything. I hate to say it, because I don't want to see it, but real ugly got them Terry Bradshaw and those 70s teams, real ugly got them Rod Woodson and eventually those 90s teams, and real ugly got them Ben. I think the Steelers are a great organization and because of that real ugly will not become the norm but may be necessary to get a great player or more. And hopefully a move on from this coach.

Over the top celebrations for TD's, 1st downs, and even sacks when you're getting blown out is the culture of a loser.

Stains players while being blown out in games engaged in those antics. Even Stain fans hated that ****.
And here we are, feeling like Stain fans.
Never in a million years would I have thunk it. Sigh.

Should they manage to back into the first round, and I don't think that's likely, they will get crushed no matter who they play.

I never want to wish for a loss but man, it would be interesting to see what happens if we lose Thursday. Chances are that Tomlin would get an extension on Saturday but I won't give up hope.

It’s Shades. It always has been for awhile but we continue to be told how wonderful he is. **** that I want to see playoffs. I want to see wins in the playoffs.

This team has delusions of adequacy. The sooner they realize they're lucky to be above .500, the better off they'll be.
Mark Madden said basically the same thing. I can't stand Mark Madden. But he is right on that.

I hate the way the guy rips on fans for getting their hopes up about the team. What the hell else are we to do? It must be an awful existence being doom and gloom all the time.

This last game just shows that while Canada was not very good at what he was TOLD TO DO, he wasn't 100% responsible for the losses. Austin should be starting to worry himself. There will need to be even more scapegoats let go, he is going to be in the spotlight real soon.

If not for those bookend pass rushers this defense is ****** by design. Nothing changes. I will say JPJ is a shutdown corner. He will be better than Ike Taylor.

And Minkah is getting all of that money to play LB. Since everyone else either isn't good enough or injured.

That same old rush from the outside is getting blocked up most of the time. It seems to always get that way by this time of the year.

Which means that zone behind it gets exploited.

The whole thing needs a reboot. Which means all of the coaches got to go or at least the HC,DC and the OC is gone anyway.

What's the goal? Don't tell me a championship. That's bs. They've done nothing in 10+ years that shows they're building toward anything but winning more games than you lose. Big deal. Nobody will remember or give a **** about that.

They are stuck with his ****** playbook, the running plays are working. But hell you could install running plays from 45 years ago rather quickly. Nothing about that is reinventing the wheel, you just need a nasty OL with talent.

I'm starting to realize that doom and gloom is the protective shell for the soul suck this team has become. I gotta find away to care a lot less about this team till thus dipshit is gone and they get a competent person who knows what he **** they are going.

Another one, not as good. The media is ramping up!

next one

They are not saying anything new than what many here have been saying for years.

BEN ROETHLISBERGER has covered many a many deficiencies of the coaching staff.

Salute the nation

Tomlin has a solid preseason philosophy, a much lesser regular season philosophy, and no play off philosophy. He is just not the guy.

The thing that we’ve all talked about on this site forever was lack of adjustments by Tomlin over the years.
So we lose another ILBer the guy that wears the green dot and what does the Cards coach do? He exploits that immediately using his TE over the middle. You would think shades and the great Terrell Austin would adjust and provide some safety help with Minkah helping out the replacement Ilbers but NO.
There obviously was no contingency plan in the event Elandon Roberts got hurt.
Then when Kenny got hurt and Mitch comes in on fourth down on the goal line and they call a drawl from the shotgun. Really! That’s what I mean, it just seems like they throw plays out there without much thought.
Then the running game was doing pretty well in the first half but they went away from it in the second half. Why? They should have continued with the running game and used play action when passing.
Just bs like this every week.
