Thousands of tickets sold through third party sources like Stub hub. Team wasn't performing well. Who is going to pay that inflated price.
As a former "lounge entertainer" in the 70's and 80's I have seen first hand the respect cops earn from drunks especially in bar fights. There used to be a place on Federal St on the N.Side called the Apache Lounge. On one particular night maybe '71 or '72 two biker gangs decided to square off on the dance floor while we were pumping out "Whole Lotta Love". In walks ONE PPD cop, he pushed his way into the middle of the brawl pulls out his stick and a blackjack and started busting heads. About 5 minutes later about 10 more cops come in and follow suit while dragging bloody bodies out into the street and tossing them into the paddy wagon. It was like a scene in a movie! Every one of those cops at that time wore leather jackets and looked like they could be on Studio Wrestling! But as we were told later; "This is the North Side, things like this happen every weekend"!As a former cop I can tell you that drunks generally become respectful after experiencing pain, until that point they are most likely not going to be. That has been my experience from many years ago 80s and 90s.

Maybe if Goodell and the Rooney's didn't ruin the product they put on the field there wouldn't be as many no-shows. Give me some hard hitting, non-flag flying football and I will show you a stadium to full capacity.
This! I used to get up at 6 AM to tailgate at TRS, now when I go to a game I leave my house at 11:30.Tailgating is better than being inside the game. If there was a way to tailgate for $35 dollars and I could get the game in the parking lot on an HDTV, I would be there ******* every week.
The ONLY reason to go to a game is the tailgating. The more the NFL has ****** that up, the less people go. Everything inside the stadium is a hassle, overpriced and a ripoff.
I went to Giants Stadium last year and that was ******* embarrassing. The stadium was ******. Tons of plain concrete and beams. Sat by itself in the middle of a 50 acre asphalt parking lot. Can't see crap except with binoculars (even on the lower level). Terrible atmosphere since the Giants got blown out.
But I loved tailgating with everyone. I loved setting up the grill and cooking and drinking my .75 cent Yuenglings. Home made chilli. Brats. Chips and salsa. Joking it up with everyone else in the parking lot. That was what made it worth it.
stir...stir...I have yet to see a post from you that added anything to a thread..but the stupid little one liners u continue to spit out..you continue to dis honor a great Steeler by using his nickname as your handle here..post something worth reading or move along ..the shtick is wearing thin
I still have my leather jacket but it is too small now. For a little bit of trivia cop related what do you think the TV show Hill Street Blues was based on? The Hill district in Pittsburgh and that's a fact.
Don't you mods have the power to rename him to something more appropriate? Barf Bag immediately springs to mind.
