Hall of Fame Game Day Steelers vs Cowbrats 8pm fox

Speaking of PSU. You guys did realize that MIcah Parsons was the best player on the field tonight for either team. He plays like 1 quarter and was on on most plays. Steelers threw a quick outside route to DJ and Parsons ran him down coming from his ILB position. They moved him inside and outside. He's going to be an impact player. BUt i guess imy opinion on him doesn't count.
Second most impressive after our new punter lol

He's going to be a star in the league.

I mean he ran a run first offense vs super scrubs and had a rating of 70… he didn’t suck out loud but honestly if Rudolph has that same game people are calling for him to be cut
I would cry no tears if Rudolph were cut sometime after next year. He has "happy feet". He lacks poise in the pocket. And I just don't see anything more than a backup level talent who will take us to a high first round pick when Ben does decide to retire.

I would like to see Haskins starting the next preseason game. See what he can do with some weapons.
Thats fair… but I don’t think he is in the fight for 2 yet… im not rooting against him, but he was really really far behind developing in Washington and im not sure one offseason is going to fix him …

Right now dobbs might beat him out for 3…

Oh I agree - Micah Parsons is the real deal. I don't know how Dallas is going to field all the ILB's they have...not my problem.

Twelve pack bet?

Hmmm...

Haskins - #15 overall draft pick and untapped talent
Rudolph - #76 overall - I personally don't think he gets past his 2 passing option before he decides to check down.

I could be wrong...

exactly, that was all i was pointing out. People just hate Mason so much they want him gone so they are rooting hard for Haskins. Haskins has a lot of arm talent but he really didn't do much tonight. Mason didn't do a ton either but i felt he looked better against better competition.

I don't think Mason has the "yips" as in being timid. His problem seems to be that he's thinking too much and afraid of mistakes. Second guessing himself.

I actually think his deep ball to Claypool was a good throw. I don't believe Claypool had much separation so Mason threw a jump ball which is what you want to do with a big WR. Let him go up and get it.

Seriously, I think they keep Haskins .... as the #3. However, I think Sullivan will be charged with developing his talent and mind during this season and they have a battle for #2 next year (#1 if Ben retires). Haskins looked good. Not good enough to take over #2 after 1 preseason game. Rudolph looked good. Good enough to hold onto his spot after 1 preseason game. Dobbs looked good. But, they've seen what Dobbs can do for 5 years now. And they keep letting him go.

Good point. Chase would have been call for OPI on that ball. As it was slightly overthrown...but we'll relook tomorrow...

I think they want to trade Vander Esch. He's always hurt. If Jabril Cox looks good, I think they may shop Vander Esch.

DB Gilbert has flashed in a nice way. He has two great pass defenses tonight.
Had some good acceleration to come back and cause the one incompletion. For a corner you like that drive to the ball.

Only backup qb I like on the roster is Dobbs. I don't think our future long term qb after Ben is on the roster right now.

Guess we will see over the next few weeks.

Almost all of Haskins throws were on the roll out to an easy target. Mason was throwing in the pocket and at least went down field some. The playcalling was so different for the two that I can't make a real call. Mason throws a ball with more touch and I think is more comfortable in the pocket. Haskins panics too soon in the pocket and is better rolling out right now. He is the one to me that has the happy feet when asked to sit back and go through progressions. That was his problem in Washington as well.

Dobbs looked the most comfortable but is the least likely to get past #3.

JMO, but I think Haskins has a long ways to go and Dobbs has a fairly similar skillset. Tough one with that potential but no other team wanted to give him a shot.

Now RB, they have to keep Kalen Ballage. Highsmith looked good. Granted, he was going against a backup Tackle, but dude has some moves and put on some serious muscle this off-season.

I think it's gonna be fun watching him and Ingram battle it out.

And that Harvin, holy crap, dude has tree trunks for legs.
