What's interesting too is that on probably every college campus there are student groups for every race and nationality except the lowly Caucasian. There's also several women's groups. No men's groups. Definitely no white guy groups.

What's interesting too is that on probably every college campus there are student groups for every race and nationality except the lowly Caucasian. There's also several women's groups. As much as colleges and universities preach diversity it's my opinion they would be better off getting rid of the groups that put everyone, except white guys, into their own little boxes and have groups based on interests. No more East Asian Civil Engineering Group. Just Civil Engineering Student Group

We should not celebrate black history month
Asain America month
Native American month. Which really isn't a month anyway.

I don't think eliminating the holidays and celebrations will "meld us tighter, as a nation"; because, while some may think this next statement is speculation or even racist--- until we can 'fix what's being taught AT HOME' the divide will remain. This is in every home in the nation.

People teach their children or family their opinions and that is why there is division because of the fear/anger/shame/hate that someone in the house/family has for others that aren't like them.

Until we fix that - it doesn't matter if you take away every holiday or celebration - our mentalities need to be cleansed...

I was born in the first 100 days of the first Eisenhower administration in the city of Champions. My wife and I are corporate brats, much like military kids are army brats. Interestingly, we live together in each of our 25th addresses. I'm Yankee. She is Southern. We have seen lots of families including our own, all over the country. We've lived on both coasts and in between.

Neither of us experienced any form of racism 'being taught' in any household growing up or since. In fact it was quite the opposite. It doesn't exist. There's nothing to fix. White people are simple folk that live and let live, and want to be left alone. The ones that don't are recent generations that have had their minds and souls crushed by the phenomenon we call 'education', happy-talk for marxism.

Thirty years ago, we thought nothing of buying a lot next to a black family and building our home there. Years later we relocated and bought another home, this time between two black families. Utterly horrible neighbors. Bought another home in another neighborhood, this time next to another black family. No plan here, just luck of the draw. These people, while on the outside were Ward & June Jefferson, turned out to be another horror story. He (Lets call him Bob) regularly beat the @#$% out of his wife. His son was forbidden from seeing his kids so his kids lived with Bob and his punching bag. Bob abused his grandchildren in ways that wouldn't occur to white people. Occasionally Bob would bring home a puppy, nice puppies, expensive puppies, and abuse the hell out of them. Bob's grandsons are all growed up now. Bob III is 21ish and serving life for 1st degree murder - blow'd up somebody at a party, and on and on and on. Bob sold and moved. We don't know where he buried his punching bag. Bob sold to (lets call her Zelda) an entitled nasty single black , er, woman who regularly 'entertains' a variety of 'gentlemen'. She immediately told us we should sell our house and move. Since then the house on our other side sold to another black family. Similar sentiment. I could elaborate. I won't. Suffice to say, this was once a very nice golf neighborhood. Now it ain't.

The only racism I see in America comes from blacks and their shills. Our neighbors hate us. I didn't know what hate is until I met these creatures. But I'm learning.

The 'schools' breed this. It expands exponentially with each generation. Obama set race relations back 200 years. The George Floyd extravaganzas another 200. The only thing that is going to change it is y'all need to fix your houses and eliminate the bull@#$% being taught at home and in the 'schools'.

Yes @BLITZ we are friends and I am of a chocolate hue...

The month, in particular, doesn't mean as much as it use to - I understand Morgan Freeman's answer to Mike Wallace; some AAs, choose to 'want to honor the achievements that are overlooked in the lesson books of elementary/middle school/high school/college'. I get that too.

Here's my honest take, as I have never really pulled punches on my thoughts, if we had a school curriculum that was well-rounded and not skewed (this is another topic that might beat the Dri Archer thread) - I think many people, regardless of their race, would actually feel included.

As a veteran, I took an oath to protect EVERY American regardless of their beliefs - we are honored twice a year for those sacrifices. We celebrate our President's w/ a day. As a country, we celebrated the 4th of July - for, er, ah, independence (from England). I can go on and on but I'm sure my point is being made.

How many of you have heard the statement "40 acres and a mule"? I always wondered 'what would America have been like - had the government given those slaves, each, the 40 acres and a mule?' But then I ask myself - what did the government promise the Native Americans after they took the land from them? Do you see the vicious circle that has been created? In short, the Native Americans were here first. Fact. Christopher Columbus (what a joke of a story his is) and the first frontiers bamboozle them to give up the land and then they (not the Native Americans) import slaves and indentured servants to work the land - moreso the slaves.

So, how could the government promise 40 acres and mule to the slaves if the land truly should have been given back to the Native Americans???

Yeah, obliterate ALL of the damn holidays - we don't deserve them...
