Harrison has been signed by Cheats

I don't blame the guy for wanting to play, but I don't like a guy wanting out during the season. However, when you're at the end of your career, it's at least understandable why you'd think that way. I have no doubt the Steelers mislead him on playing time and I have zero problem with him signing with New England after the release.

No ****. Nothing like internet tough guys challenging each other over percieved slights on a friggin' messageboard. :jagoff:
Whatever I was just ******* around asking him what is address is. It's kinda bullshit that I was reprimanded by a mod for talking about a wife wearing the pants in a game thread and no one said ****,when he's talking about ******* mine.

At first I was pissed but after reading that it's pretty hard to blame him for where he ended up.

lol godbless ya, blitz

Harrison signed a 2 year contract, but in reality, it was a 1 yr contract. His dead money next year? $250k. That is nothing. Goodbye James, thanks for the plays and thanks for not affecting our cap with your release!

Well this is sure entertaining. It's got all the bases covered. Drama, betrayal, ego, pride, selfishness, anger, resentment, hate, fans turning on each other.

The old internet I'm going to drive to your house and kick your ***. People get shot doing stupid **** like that. There's no good ending to that for anyone. It's just words. I say what's on my mind and move on. Every now and then I'll tell someone to **** off. Vent your ****,but just leave it here.

The tie that binds is Steeler football. Players come and go,but the team goes on. Onward &upward! Peace, love and all that ****.

At the end of the day it's a ****** situation all around. Really sucks Deebo took this road. In the end, all we can do is laugh it off and move on.

WELL I don't know who James Harrison would be representing in that black and yellow jersey,.................but if that JERSEY was really Black & Gold, then we'd be in Buisness.....

I'm pissed not because he signed with anyone. I now realize we are blaming the Steelers when in reality he wanted out. He at his age and time of career did not like his role. I don't blame Tomlin for not playing Harrison since Harrison wanted out game two. He character is suspect when it took our players to stand up to why Harrison is gone, then Harrison calls Porter, why not Tomlin. Harrison could have helped players, Harrison could have been in the play offs and possible helped but he is the one decided that he could care less about being a Steeler, again at his age and time of career. Two games left in the season.

.

I get it. However, do you think that James not sticking around for practices and positional meetings had an impact on his playing time? I mean... how would it look to reward him with snaps after he has set such a poor example during the week (for the young players)? How would YOU handle that as a coach?

I get that Deebo feels they were not honest with him... but remember, he was SIGNED... BEFORE they drafted Watt. Watt turned into a heck of a young player and Harrison kinda threw some tantrums! Not staying thru practices... not coming to positional meetings.

Now, don't get me wrong. I am a HUGE Harrison fan. I saw him live in San Diego the year before he became the starter... it was CLEAR... he was going to be a stud. Yet, his actions in the last several weeks have some similarities to someone... LeGarrette Blount.

Don't hate me... think about it. His compounded action gave the Steelers very few options. IMHO.

He'd continue to sit the bench.

They could allow him to continue to sulk from the bench, give him playing time, or grant his request and release him so he could go to a team where he could play. Any of the options would have been appropriate, maybe some better than others. In a way, they ended up doing right by the player allowing him to continue on with his playing career since he would continue to ride the bench in Pittsburgh.

What Harrison should have did was ride the season out and get his release after the season. Harrison was a cancer instead. A shame.

yeah I prefer they don't release every mememe player that cries to be cut. Send their *** home with a fine/suspension, and tell them to STFU.

Then I wait and trade them when it is allowed. Or cut them after the season.

But during? yinz STFU or sit home and have no chance of playing with a suspension.

my workplace has a small cafeteria/bistro owned separately, by a local restauranteur, they have pretty good stuff, typical hot/cold sandwiches, fries, soups, small salad bar, breakfast in the morning, etc etc. The head cook always has this pan out full of cooked bacon sitting out, for dishes that involve bacon or whatever, and whenever i go in there to get a candy bar or whatever for a snack, i always jokingly ask him, "how much for that pan of bacon?" one of these days he's gonna give me a price i might just take him up on it, eat bacon at my desk all day.

Add bacon to sandwiches or by itself.
But sandwiches with bacon is great

mmmm...a bacon sandwich, where the bread is two glazed donuts.. .

see below

Allthough both these are excellent IDEAs, I still like my IDEA of adding BEACON to my BEACON bestest. Why dilute it down with other things.......................

Hell yea !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know... people ***** when we cut players that either can help someone else or who aren't getting a real chance here, but that stuff is why the org ishighly thought of... it sucks that he wanted to get out, but this wasn't the first or even second time we cut this guy and each time he went to a rival who never treated him right... like Lloyd or Porter or Woodson or webster or Franco or and of the laundry list of stars that ended their careers elsewhere, its bad now but all will be forgiven in time

Obviously he has a vendetta against the Steelers for being snubbed.
Harrison has been on this team longer than anyone besides Ben and knows the playbook and signals inside out.
You say they already had the tape on us?They had the steelers tape from spygate in 2007.
I would think after spygate the Steelers changed up signals and anything else the Pats had tape on. Would you disagree?

James Harrison is shot, and has been shot since we released him years ago. Its not about what he is capable of doing on the field.

Its the fact that the steelers orginization gift wrapped a 10+ year Vet with a wealth of information for the winningest coach in the history of the league who is famous for using inside information/ video tapes against their opponents.

What an Epic troll job by Belichick

Ok, so which is it. Do the Patriots only have the 2007 Steelers tapes to reference, or does he have current footage? You can't say they don't have footage then claim the coach is famous for using it. Second, just because Harrison was on the Steelers doesn't mean he knows ALL the plays. He knows the defensive schemes, and after the reports that are coming out right now about him sleeping through meetings, missing them altogether, walking out on gamedays he isn't active...I highly doubt he's a treasure trove of useful information. As it was already pointed out, the line calls are changed weekly. We heard "dilly dilly" one week, haven't heard it since. They come up with them during the week. There is nothing he can share with the Patriots that they don't have from game films from us all season long.

My God some of you are such sniveling little *******

This, but really this isn't anything new. This place is always doom and gloom, even after wins.

Some of you disgust me. Truly.

I haven't seen any verified reports that Deebo caused a cancer in the locker room. I haven't seen verified reports where he asked to be released. We have magical Steve who can read lips and body language. So I guess THAT's something.

Harrison has always been among our most loved players. And you ******* 2 faced ******* turn on him the instant he signs with another team? A team that says they'll give him the opportunity to compete. For a ring no less?

Is it a crime of Harrison to have some pride? To believe he can still contribute?

No wonder Terry Bradshaw hates Pittsburgh. You people really do eat your own. Some of you have no ******* loyalty or respect whatsoever. This is James Harrison. Deebo. All Time Sack Leader? And he could have more if he was played more. Sure, he may not be the best fit for the new defense. Sure, he never gets his holding call flags thrown. (I'm about 93% sure he will now though.) And I can't imagine he wasn't frustrated sitting on the bench while the Steelers called some ******' guy sitting on his couch eating ******* popcorn.

But you - you sorry sons a ******* are going to whine and moan that he went somewhere he can play? **** you. Being loyal to the Steelers means you're loyal to both the organization AND the coaches and players that help make it up. You can *****. You can gripe when they don't do as well as or even what you think they ought to. And it's fair to recognize that maybe a player or two isn't able to contribute like they once could. But you DON'T, I repeat you do NOT revert to full on ***** mode when they get cut unceremoniously in the middle of a very special season and then go find themselves a new job.

You should also keep in mind that Tomlin only has 1 guy to get rid of now. Just one. We'd best ride that ************ out on a rail to eh? Maybe they can cut his *** before the playoffs as well.

There are ways to do things and ways not to do them. What they did with Harrison was a great example of how NOT to do things. If Harrison had truly asked for his release, then a public statement should have been made before-hand saying as much in order to clarify to the entire fanbase that Harrison was looking for an opportunity to compete for a ring and he wasn't going to get that here. No harm, no foul.

Instead, the FO has thrown Harrison under the bus so anything he does makes him look bad. Well **** that. Tomlin said Harrison's time will come. We just failed to understand what he meant.

Aside from our very own article on the main page, the one from Steelerdepot, and this one from ESPN (http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...gh-steelers-blast-james-harrison-forcing-exit), you're right nothing to see here... oh wait, just look at his instagram page. There are several posts with him complaining about not playing.
Agree 100%

and now all this sudden airing of all the locker room "dirty laundry" to the public - just to keep Tomlin from being embarrassed.

Disgusting, We have become the Bengals.

When did you become such a bleeding vagina?

ha ha

You mean you believed that "airing of laundry" wasn't orchestrated? A team he gave everything for now wants to stab him in the back?

riiiiiight

And when has Maurkice Pouncey ever said anything good about somebody other than Aaron Hernandez?

How about when he talks about Ben. Has openly said he'll retire as soon as Ben does. He has also praised Bell, Brown, DeCastro, Big Al, and plenty other teamates. I'm with Pouncey, don't want to be here, bye, see ya...

You know... people ***** when we cut players that either can help someone else or who aren't getting a real chance here, but that stuff is why the org ishighly thought of... it sucks that he wanted to get out, but this wasn't the first or even second time we cut this guy and each time he went to a rival who never treated him right... like Lloyd or Porter or Woodson or webster or Franco or and of the laundry list of stars that ended their careers elsewhere, its bad now but all will be forgiven in time

The one thing completely being ignored here, with all the whining about possible cuts we could have made instead...or people whining that we kept on the roster this long, what was the point. Lets take a moment to reflect on some of the things that have recently happened that made this decison come to fruition. We'll start with a couple obvious ones.

TJ Watt is drafted, and is everything and MORE he was advertised as being.

Our D moved to a more coverage scheme for our OLB, as evident by the number of sacks Heyward has this year.

Shazier's injury forced us to use a LB by committee style of play.

Gilbert is suspended, Sutton is activated, and Sutton has played VERY well taking yet another roster spot away.
/
They had to make one cut. So do you cut a guy that doesn't want to be here in favor of someone who does, when they both get about the same amount of reps (McCullers)? If they hadn't of HAD to make room on the roster, this wouldn't even be happening. But when you HAVE to make a move, and you have someone who is being disruptive, unhappy, and not a good teamate, you make the tough choice. No matter how loved he is by the fans.
