Harrison retires

I loved the game against the Ravens in 2007:

10 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 2 STF for 12 yards, 1 interception returned for 20 yards, and one pass defensed.

Harrison sits at the top of the list of Steeler LB's for me.

In five years Harrison is going to be another headache for the HOF like Swann was... had a fairly short time at the top as an impact player, but he was, for a bit, the most dominant defensive force in the league... they just let guys hold him his last few years, but from his explosion from an undrafted frequently cut player to DPOY material and his famous crunch time highlight plays along with him being the poster boy for the culture change on hard hitting football make him almost impossible to ignore... gonna be interesting to hear that debate

One of my all time favorite steeler LBs. He's right there with Lambert, Ham and Lloyd. He was fierce and impactful. I always loved this play when he started the San Diego MNF game in 2005:

Great memories -

One of the best games our team has played, Silverback was simply unstoppable.

Nine Deuce is my favorite Steeler of all time. Not the best mind you, but my favorite. He took on the league, Goodell, the ****** anti-defense rules, and soft *** QBs. He hit like a freight train and took no prisoners. He had a scowl that would make a grown man piss himself. He was everything a Steelers linebacker should be, he just didn't get started soon enough to be great.

Hats off and happy hunting to him. His jersey will heretofore be my default on game days.

Agreed bro, he is a rebel. A lot of people were turned off by his constant challenging of the status quo. I loved it. He was not afraid to rip a guys head off because he knew the next time that player came his way they would hesitate. This gave 92 the distinct advantage and it transferred to our entire D.

I actually wanted him to do well in Cincy last year just because he was so much fun to watch. I wish him well and enjoy watching him post on Facebook.

Love this guy. If i ever run into him the beer is on me. I was a fan after he train wrecked the ravens in one game..**** that was awesome to the 10th power. The int return for a td in the super bowl is my favorite play ever!

Best 3/4 OLB we ever had. Thank you James for all the memories! And as much as I loved Franco Harris that SB play was the best and most meaningful I ever saw in my 67 years watching the Steelers.

He scared the **** out of people. We don't have that right now.

Real talk. He played that entire Superbowl inside Kurt Warner's head. By the time it was over, poor Kurt didn't know which way was was up...

I remember one of Cowher's conferences where a reporter asked him if anyone scared him in his own locker room and he replied Silverback. Ohh how I miss the days when a defense could intimidate an offense!!

I'm very glad I could watch him play, the guy was a monster OLB and gave the Steelers the best defensive play ever in a SB

I do too. But it does look like the Seahawks have frustrating an offense down to a science.

that browns fan didn't even knew what happened. Train-wrecked!!!

The Seahawks are about as physical as you can be these days but a long way from the Steelers in 2008. Clark smoked anything that came near him. I wonder in today's game does a Hines Ward even make a team? Some of his best catches were holding on to the ball after being clocked.

I wonder how many flags he'd catch in the running game ear holing *************...

Its almost like comparing two different eras. In just this VERY short time, it seems butt plug "rog" has accomplish in just a few years, what took other 25+ to do.

Salute the nation

They are hoping they rectified what went wrong in their eyes last year in the SB. They are cracking down even further as a direct kneejerk reaction to it. Rog and his cohorts are so ******* out of touch with real football fans that they think they have to get rid of defensive performances like that to please everyone.

He had a run that was as good as any LB that ever put on the pads. He was a true game changer all over the field. One of my favorite Steelers, it was tough seeing him in that ****** Bungles gear last year.

How about that game against the rats? He took that game over, had multiple sacks / couple fumbles / I think even an interception. Just blew it up.

Salute the nation

Thank you James.
