The older I get the more I realize it’s just a game. Sure I want them to win, but the more I also realize there are other characteristics to value that defines a community rather than a sports team.Don’t feel sorry for me. I have enjoyed a competitive team and still watching the local team have there hearts broken time and time again. I have seen us win 4 Super Bowls and been alive for all 6. I u sweet and how hard it is to win and can appreciate things differently as I get older. All the hate anger and angst isn’t good for anyone and we have truly been spoiled by this team. Even the last 10 despite not quite getting where we ultimately want. I feel sorry for those like you who can’t appreciate things without perspective. We could be 4-6 instead of 6-4 and still is a great position for the playoffs. We need to fix some things but I am still optimistic we will.
I took these losses a lot more serious when I was in high school. Having kids and and getting a dose of real life puts what actually matters in perspective.
That said I’m glad that we can all ***** together another year. One thing I always thank the Steelers and Pens for is bringing strangers together and celebrating a common goal and putting differences aside for a few hours
