Heyward Vs. Gentry

Nope he was listed as a te so it was 3 tes 3 rb 1fb… we just carried Harris, Warren and Snell at Tailback.. mcfarland went to the PS

No, he should be on the team. Stick him in there and make the defense adjust to us.

The big picture is ………. The ability of our current OC and his play calling is VERY questionable. He can’t seem to use play calling to set up anything and also seems to telegraph the play being called. I don’t think it would matter who the FB was, in the play being called other than the “Quick Hit” play as that was the ONLY play Derrick Watt had success at.

Our rookie FB run blocking is excellent. I hope we use it. Really, I did not know that Heyward was allowed to blcok and catch. When did this happen?

Canada can't think this way. Just not in him.

Not a chance we don't pur Jones on the active roster. He is still being called the "steal of the draft".

O’Canada is still learning, so be easy on him. You know, the PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL is where they bring in learning and a chance to get experience on the job………….. ****

Jones will be starting day one and if not, then someone needs fired on the spot !!!

I know I'm asking a lot for the coaches in Canada and Tomlin. To make those nickle and dime defense pay when he sneak in a FB on 2nd down to RUN the ball. We upgraded the OL run blocking and FB positions in the off season and draft, ya know.

This team is definately geared for the run. There is no “sneaking” involved because it is written all over the place that we are going to be a run dominance team. The fullback play will depend on how much O’Canada has learned (forcibly or not) in the off-season.

If we only run or tend to run the majority of the time a FB is in play,….. then that is a definate way to telegraph the called play. We currently telegraph way way way to much and no defense currently fears us or our play calling. THAT is by far the biggest weakness within this offense.

The O’Canada factor is soon to be playing at a theater near you……

Did they? That undrafted free agent FB isn't a lock to make the team let alone be considered an upgrade. Ol cooch making **** up as he goes along.

That's a tough one to put your money on, we had one of the best FB in the league, handsomely paid also and barely used him. Now are we going all in using a FB with an UDFA?

I am pretty sure they are both safe this year too. Then next year Gentry moves on elsewhere and Heyward secures the combo third TE/first fullback spot.

Assuming he plays ok, I figured he is someone they would definitely want to move to the PS. I think the PS is his ceiling this year (and that has zero to do with our other TEs/FBs etc). Can never have too many mullets on your practice squad.

Cooch isn't afraid of bizarre. From Polamalu's big head, to Kenny's small hands, to Ed Oliver's top ten draft status, to Budda Baker being a scrub. The bizarre and cooch has formed a union married in craptastic drivel.
 
Listening to Darnell Washington I feel like he will be tge biggest standout and team ROTY. The other guys are gonna be put on islands and will have ups and exposed as Rookies. This guy is a unit and doesn't have to be the man.

He certainly does like white guys with mullets though lol… Chickalo now this guy… if we had drafted Cody Mauch instead of Jones he probably would be doing cartwheels down the street 🤣

Exactly. This team needs to keep every playmaker on the roster because there aren't enough of them.
 
RB3s and TE3s are usually pretty easy to stash on the practice squad or pluck off someone else's in case of an injury.
