How hot is Tomlins seat?

Probably. We're tied with NE and it'll probably be a while before anyone surpasses us. Although, the 9er's at 5 rings is something that could happen soon.
 
I don't think the real question is if it is hot or not. The real question if they go out Monday and lose after all the off season hype and getting pumped by the 49ers and a second week loss at home.......someone, anyone explain why it would not be hot?
 
There are no heated seats in Tomlins office. It's likely that Rooney is crafting the next contract extension. I want a championship quality team. Tomlin brings us mediocrity.

Well here’s where I’m at on Mike Tomlin. I’ve been critical in the past and thought the time to move on was after the Jacksonville home playoff loss. I personally think he squandered multiple opportunities with a loaded roster from 2011 through 2018 after that playoff loss at home to the Jags.
So I thought let’s be fair and give him one last chance so I came into this season positive and pulling for Tomlin to lead this team deep into the playoffs.
I’m not giving up yet and Im holding out to see how he responds to this first game beat down. If we come out Monday and bomb it’s going to be tough already to dig out of the hole. If at seasons end we end up missing the playoffs again even if we have a non losing season, I’ll finally be done with Tomlin knowing that he is what most here always thought he was. A mediocre head coach, certainly not a bad one but not a top five or great coach. Not an innovator, not analytical, not a game schemer, unable to make adjustments. Simply an emotional head coach who thinks by sticking out his chest and pumping his guys up is enough, it’s not.
The game today, the offensive game has passed Tomlin by who thinks he can win with ground and pound, simplistic short passing game, keep it close and my defense will win it in the fourth quarter. That worked 25 years ago but not today in the NFL.
You better be able to light up the scoreboard on offense to run with the bigger dogs and with Tomlin retaining Canada tells me he’s not grasping that reality of todays NFL.
As I said, I’ll stay with him until seasons end but if this thing goes off the rails I’m done for sure with Tomlin then.
As a footnote: who cares what I think since Art II will retain him and most likely extend Tomlin after the season. That’s the only person he has to please. Certainly not some fan!

I don’t think that roster was as loaded as you and most of us thought. Not top to bottom thanks to Ben’s cap hit. Any kind of injury to a key player killed us. The biggest being Shazier. I truly believe if he keeps his head up and stays healthy we win the Super Bowl instead of losing to the Jaggoffs.
 
Honestly and I hate to say it, but I am waiting for Art 11 to go home to our maker. I've heard that one of his sons or grandsons (can't remember which) is a little upset with the Steelers not winning and wants to make big changes. He wants super bowl rings, not winning seasons. Apparently he has the mentality that if you don't win the SB, its a failure of the season. I also heard he does not like Tomlin, at all!

If we lose Monday night which is a real possibility his seat should be hot, I agree but it won’t be.
If it’s any of the other 31 owners then he’ll yes it would be hot. It would have been hot after the Jags playoff home loss but not with this owner.
Art II I think puts far too much stock in stability with his head coach. Tomlin is mediocre, not a bad coach but certainly not an upper echelon type coach. That seems to be ok with Art II with the thought process if we’re always in it until the end.
What I’d like to ask Art is in what? Even if we get into the playoffs we can’t stay with the big dogs always getting embarrassed.
To me this is just constantly chasing one’s tale, never getting anywhere.

Deuce is looking at every home game a sellout since God was a boy and a 13 year waiting list for season tickets. Everything is great.

I just don't get the concept of caring when the games are already guaranteed sold. They will be sold if Tomlin is the coach or if new coach new message comes in. I agree I was really impressed with the turnaround last year. Hell I didn't even expect a win last week. Just not getting physically pumped like that. And to be an underdog to the ****** Browns week two at home. If Vegas is right on that one how the hell us this guy employed in Pittsburgh next year. How embarrassing does it gotta get?

Ever stop and think that they may actually be the Clowns now? I have no issues with Tomlin continuing to wear the sunglasses, thinking he's cool, but NFL capable coordinators need to be on the sidelines or in the box. Oh, and Mike needs to have the red flag taken away from him.
