You know there's a Steeler bar in rome. Has Steeler memorabilia all over the place. I ment to visit last October but there were no games on while on vacation. Of course the bar may not be open since this gamei starts 2 am Rome time. La Botticella near Piazza Navona

Honestly and I hate to say it, but I am waiting for Art 11 to go home to our maker. I've heard that one of his sons or grandsons (can't remember which) is a little upset with the Steelers not winning and wants to make big changes. He wants super bowl rings, not winning seasons. Apparently he has the mentality that if you don't win the SB, its a failure of the season. I also heard he does not like Tomlin, at all!

I believe it's Art II son Dan. Everything I've read about him gives me hope. He's worked his way up through many jobs including menial ones within the organization and by all accounts is a smart, amicable individual.

I expected it this year. Maybe next… if you look at the ages the other Rooneys stepped away Art 2 is there…Art stepped down at 74, Dan at 71… Art 2 is 71….

Now Daniel Martin Rooney, art2’s son, is expected to eventually take over … but he is currently a coaching assistant and is much younger than Art2 or Dan were when they assumed the Owners role…

What some suspect might happen is Dan Jr, art2’s younger brother, might fill in a couple of years until DMR is really ready… both Dan Jr and DMR are lifelong football guys … Dan Jr being a longtime steelers scout… and DMR being a college QB that has been working through low level positions in the organization for the past decade..
