Before the game, wife and I drove to the next town to pick up some pizza. On the drive, we talked about the game, and how we figured it would play out.

We didn’t miss by much. It gets frustrating tuning in to the game, hoping for changes and some kind of breakout, and yet unsurprisingly nothing changes other than how low this franchise is sinking.

A few years back, I would have been pissed. These days, my expectations are pretty low so I watch and just kinda shake my head. This team used to be fun to watch. Now you watch just to see how bad they out stupid themselves.

Yeah, as long as the O-line is in the state it's in you never know what you are going to get, but most times it's not going to be good. There are other problems of course, but player wise that is the biggie. Don't get me started on Tomlin, Canada, Austin: The 3 Pittsburgh stooges.

I am 100% with you. Couldn't disagree if I wanted to. It's so bad, so predictable and isn't about to change anytime soon. Hard to be angry when you know what is coming and you get exactly that.

The only plus side I can find is that is that, presumably, we won't have to hear any more about non-losing seasons soon. Countdown is at 3 games.

I'm not mad either. This team stinks and needs major changes. The only way it happens is if they continue to play awful football.

Unfortunately this is the case. They've been committed to mediocrity for a good while now, so perhaps being bad will force the owner to do what he should have already done years ago.

Not mad, disgusted and tired of the lack of change would be a better word for it.

When the team isn't even competitive there will be no **** its from me. This is unacceptable football.

Thing is how confident that those changes will come? I can't say I am.

You guys expect changes? 3 coaches in 179 years. It's The Steeler Way! Weeeeeeeeeee!

You're probably right. Look at how this team was managed the past couple of years:
-Fully knowing they needed to upgrade an awful offensive line, they draft a running back and a tight end.
-Tomlin hired Matt Canada as OC and then kept him after a total failure in that role last year. It wasn't going to get better.
-They let a lame duck GM run this year's draft when the replacement was already in house.
-While keeping a bad OC, they didn't make any schematic changes to the offense.
-They had a farce of a QB competition that didn't prepare any of the QBs to have continuity with the receivers.
-They handed rookies starting jobs and kept them in the lineup while underperforming.

Not mad either. What I will be mad about is if this **** show wins some games and misses out on the top 10 pick they so desperately could use. Tomlin sucks. Canaduh sucks. The O-line sucks.

As Ray Wylie Hubbard sings..
When I have a good day is when I keep my expectations low..

Hard to be mad.

From a perspective, these guys win or lose make a lot more than any of us see in a lifetime.

From a fan perspective, week in week out is insanity. Same stuff different cast of characters all directed by Art 2 and Mikey Tomlin

It was a good day to move stuff to our storage units and build shelving in the new house. Trying to fit 3200 SQ ft into 1500 was made for a season like this. Thanks Mr. Rooney.

Exactly, and for me that's just a few weeks or months for them.

And sadly, it appears that way.

This is very painful but required. I think the defense could be substantially better with Watt but you cannot win games with this offense. They score one TD a game. So I figure they fire Canada this offseason. Tomlin picks next OC and it's hard to think it will be good. They are roughly this bad next year and that's the end of the plague on this once great organization.

Spot on.
I'm not mad either, I'm watching out of curiousity to see how bad it gets.

This is about as bad as it gets. But this is bottom of the league bad so..
I'm beginning to lose faith in my prediction that Shades would manage to pull an 8-8-1 out of his ***.
