I am officially on the KP8 train

I like what I see. He'll be good in the long run.

I'm still a little cautious, hand size is a concern but also development under O'Canada. Of course, the O'Canada would be a concern for any rookie QB.

Hope for the best.

Salute the nation

I like what I see to this point, but I'm not completely on the wagon yet. Dude can throw with touch and hit tight windows, but his accuracy has not been consistent enough yet, though it should get better as he gets more comfortable and doesn't hurry himself as much on certain throws.

He can process things quick and will stand in there and deliver while taking a hit.

They might have something here, but he's going to need to start throwing more TDs and miss less open throws before I'm ready to buy in, but I suspect he will.

I am at the train station. The choo choo is warming up. Do I jump before it takes off?

Decisions decisions.

I believe he will be a pretty good QB in the near term. He has been improving steadily after not much of a camp to prepare to be the starter.

He still zings a few WTF passes and needs to get the ball out just a hair faster.

I’ve been on board with Kenny since the preseason.
The guy has it all. Intelligence, strong enough arm, mobility, accuracy, learning to read and recognize defenses, leadership, and is a film junkie which is extremely important. The guy works hard and wants to keep getting better.
Consider! He was thrown into the second half of the Jets game without much work if any with the first team players, hadn’t taken any first team reps and then thrown into a death trap against Buffalo Philly and Miami at their place. He had to learn on the fly working with an inferior OC, patched up OL, and receivers that, well let’s just say are ok.
Kenny is not the problem! He needs a better LT and LG, a possession receiver he can rely on and one that can blow off the top of the defense.
Johnson is not worth what they are paying him and Pickens need to mature and improve his route tree.
The only one I see that’s reliable is Muuuth. Receivers have to be better next year.

Like some, (most?) here, I think the issues surrounding this team fall at the feet of the coordinators and secondly to specific weak positions on the field.

KP is not in my top 10 and I think he'll be fine, correct the concerns in my first sentence and he could be special.

Still on the fence. His decision making has been much improved by not taking stupid chances. He’s game managing. So I’ll wait and see.

In my opinion the play calling I'd the game managing. He basically moved the ball great between the 25 and about the 30 then he is fighting his own coaches.

I hear the train a comin'
It's rollin 'round the bend
And I ain't seen the sunshine since
I don't know when...........

At this point he’s ok. Nothing I’ve seen suggests he’s going to be anything special. Maybe a Kurt Cousins type.

I mean, he is a rookie and game managing is typically what rookies do. Even everyone's favorite rookie game manager Ben Roethlisberger took years to shed that title. Then again, not all young QBs can look as good as Mason Rudolph so we shall see.

I don't think anyone projected him to be anything more than a Kirk Cousins/Derek Carr type quarterback.
You’d never know that reading this board sometimes.

Cousins is a decent QB IMO. Carr can get into a groove. There is worse things to be. I still don't know his ceiling. Just too hard to decide. But I see some glimpses of possibilities.

I dunno most people are taking the wait and see approach. That's what I am seeing for the most part.

Maybe some super fans on this board, but unless you have elite physical traits, you aren't going to get a superstar unless they are a rare breed like a Tom Brady or Drew Brees.
