I'm trying to eat over here!

I'm all for police accountability. I think we should have a conversation about police methods and overreach of police powers. Disrupting these businesses is not the way to begin that cconversation.

Since when does protest mean be a ******* ******* to people that have nothing to do with what you are protesting?

Not once has Steel addressed the simple point that Eric Garner resisted arrest. Had he simply complied, as others have stated, he'd be alive...unless he had a massive heart attack at McDonalds the next day.

Amazing. We'll continually overlook the idea that you follow the rules.

When I get pulled over for speeding, both of my hands are on the wheel...always. I know he has a loaded weapon. I'm not going to let him think I mean hostility.

Garner? Not so bright. I'm not advocating the police response, but Garner did himself zero favors by being a moron.

Patently false. Eric Garner had broken no law the day he was killed by police. The arrest for selling cigarettes has long since been ruled unlawful.

The guy did not - did NOT - deserve to die for selling @#$&ing cigarettes.

So what does harassing people having a paid meal at a restaurant have to do with that fact??

Hey Farva,

All jews had to do at first was wear the Mogen David. It escalates slowly. You let the government get away with one bad law then they pass another and another until you have tyranny.

Seems like an apt thread to bring up MD 20/20

Again as an ardent authoritarian who doesn't know what it's like to be systematically targeted, abused, and harassed by the police, you don't care what they do. If you'd had your head bounced off a few cruiser hoods over a burned out tail light, or had your car torn to pieces while you were handcuffed because you had no front license plate, maybe you'd see things differently. As it stands you only see it happening to "them" (however you define that word) so you don't care.

Not one goddam thing, I think the people in this story are idiots. This kind of **** is counterproductive to their goals. Any movement that is successful needs the help of the majority/power structure. These "protesters" are alienating people that could be helping them, and that stupid.

Example: Israel is a nakedly racist apartheid state. But it can't be defeated with bus bombs and rockets. The Palestinians are only perpetuating the myth of Israeli victimhood by trying to kill their way out of the problem. They need to dump their Hamas/Hezbollah/PLO type leaders and find themselves a Ghandi/MLK/Mandela type sage who could shame the world into abandoning the Israeli Apartheid state. That's how oppression is successfully defeated: shame. Slavery, suffrage, segregation, African Apartheid... all defeated by building alliances with the power structure and shaming people into doing the right thing.

We should shame these ******* idiot "hands up, I can't breathe" protesters into using common sense and some ******* brain cells.

You know, conservatives threw fit.. after fit... after fit following Waco and Ruby Ridge. Because the government killed white people. But when the government kills Black people, conservatives almost universally defend the government's action.

Reason 2,034,048 why I'm a Civil Libertarian. I just don't understand you people.

That's even weaker than most of your posts. I didn't give a **** about those *******. It's simple: Obey The Law. If that ******* Mike Brown were white I'd still cheer that he was dead. Even if little Tray Tray Trayngel had been white I'd say nice kill. It's not about color, it's about don't be a ******* criminal. That fatass who sold smokes wasn't killed by the choke hold. He was killed because he was a dumb ************ who didn't listen and didn't learn from his numerous other arrests. You ******* morons who try to justify crime by playing the race card are the dregs of society.

Ok. I get it now. You're just a malcontent. **** everybody who ain't you. A Stinkmeaner. Got it. You just gotta shake your fist at the world.

Carry on, old man.

Moreover it was a misdemeanor. Should you be killed for the misdemeanors you've committed in your life? How about your kids? Would you support you son being killed because he committed a minor offense?

Resisting arrest is still against the law, isn't it?

To say he was killed for selling cigarettes is ludicrous. The cop overreacted, but he obviously had no intention of killing Garner. His death was accidental, negligent at best, and his terrible health was a major contributing factor.

I will go on record and say that the fat dude in NY did not deserve any of that. He was barely breaking a law. He didn't really resist.

As for Trayangel and Mr. Hands up, they got what was coming to them. Pure and simple.

Weak *** response to a beat down.

That's what that was.

Fair answer.

Slavery, suffrage, segregation, African Apartheid... all defeated by building alliances with the power structure and shaming people into doing the right thing.

Don't accept your premise that Israel is responsible for the bloodshed,* but otherwise, you make your point in a well-stated fashion.

* The nation is literally surrounded by neighbors who have repeatedly announced their desire to exterminate Israel's population, and who have launched countless military assaults on Israel. What would we expect our President to do if Mexico launched shells into Texas, repeatedly, killing our citizens? Therefore, suggesting that Israel is an "apartheid state" due to the extraordinary measures the country implements to reduce citizen deaths is just not valid.

The fact is that Israel has an estimated 100,000 Palestinians working in its country. Israel has no choice but to implement incredible measures to protect its population from attack. The concern for a Palestinian bringing a bomb into Israel and killing dozens - hundreds - of citizens, including children, is not unfounded.

The guy did not - did NOT - deserve to die for selling @#$&ing cigarettes.

But this is an inaccurate representation of what happened. He wasn't executed, he resisted arrest, when the police used force to arrest him, he had a heart attack and died. Like it or not, he played a role in his own death.

What you don't understand is the distinction between a military operation, discussed and approved at the highest levels of Gov't, versus a beat cop making a split second decision. Night and day. The only thing you see is race.
Massacre in Waco- More Clinton blood on hands.

In case anyone forgot, in the Garner case, the cop who did the chokehold was observed by another officer,a black woman, who did not tell him to stop.

She, much like Charles Barkley, is obviously not black enough.

isn't "you people" considered racist now?

When I was stationed at Fort Campbell, they used to do these things called "Spread Eagles." Basically it is a random search at the main gate. One night, I got stripped to my underwear along 41A by the police. In the rain. My wife and daughter were in the car. They were looking for white supremacist gang tattos. The reason I was stripped to my underwear is because I have a tattoo on my calf. A Steelers tattoo. That automatically means you must have more on your thighs and ***. That was great fun.

Give me yo waffles you honky!!
