IMHO Tomlin Will Return to Coaching Next Season

EXACTLY, I don’t care what or who he does.

I just want him to land a NFL Coaching job that pays us compensation.

The higher the compensation the better as I don’t care if the compensation is looked
as proof of his coaching decorum of ability.

Just get a NFL Coaching job Mike Tomlin, our Steelers will be better for it.

Remember Tomlin stepped down with time remaining on his contract.

I think it might come down to the Rooney and how he looks at it.

Rooney could just let by-gones be by-gones to help make Tomlin a more desirable hire
without having to give up anything for him..

I could see the Rooney waiving the compensation if Mike said help me getting this job.

I think Mike deliberately waited a year to make sure the Steelers get no compensation. A final parting gift.

Again, the previous Steelers FO believed that if Bill Cowher ever went back to coaching, they still had his rights because he retired with a year left on his deal... with player contracts thats true for sure... its never been tested with coaches..

You sign a 3 year deal.. if you coach/ play 2 then quit, you owe that team 1 year if you ever unretire..

The only way the Steelers arent owed Comp picks from a team is if they secretly fired him and him stepping away was to save face...

I understand what you are saying but multiple credible reports say that isn't the case and that he is Scott free. I hope we would, but I don't think he coaches again anyway.

How can you seek him back after he left and you had to sign another HC? Also....there was compensation for Payton becuase he was under contract.....ai said we would have received compensation for Cowher. He had a year left. Harbaugh was fired. No compensation. Maybe I read it wrong. Either way I don't care honestly. Just glad we are now past THE TOMLIN ERA. I thought for a bit it might not happen in my life time.....and I am 56.

He’d look great being part of the mistake by the lake, at least 2 games a year our D would look historic as they’d only have to defend half the field.

Him Going to CLE would be compensation enough to me

In all reality, I wouldn’t fear his Coaching ability against us.

I’d fear more his sub-coaches (pending on hires) than he himself. NOTE: This would be limited due to his control freakisms.

Shades, rub and tug and Canaduh would be a beautiful foundation for that mistake by the lake…they need to get their band back together with a new front man (Mr. Rub and tug)

That would be historic
 
Another team would have to be pretty dumb to give up a first round pick for Shades.
Not that there aren't some dumb owners out there.
Shades has proven that he can't build a team and to look decent he needs an owner like Rooney and two bad teams in his division.
