Initial Thoughts on bugles Game

Find another team I’m tired of your **** go away

Seriously, just go away. No one likes you here, bro. We won

get the **** out of here.
Why do you feel the need to bring it up in the first place and instigate the situation?

Enjoy the W.

Lol....

Or you can find another team. I don't care either way. This is America....this is a message board. I never tell anyone to **** off.....but I am close to telling you too. In the end I will refrain....that would be a silly thing to do on a message board IN AMERICA. No? 🤪
OK, well we’re gonna celebrate this win and I don’t know what the **** you’re gonna do

Porter was bad for that at PSU. He got away with it a lot in college. Been screaming about him all year but my TV never seems to listen. :ROFLMAO: He seems to have regressed.

The Pass D was where I figured the Bengals would run away with this game.

Fortunately the Bengals D is one of the worst in the league.

Yeah, given grabbing receivers was an issue for him coming out of college, I tend to believe he got away with a lot last season and with the league becoming familiar with him, teams are asking officials to watch him more closely.

He's going to have to change the way he plays, and there's no guarantee he's going to be able to.

Last year, it seemed like the Steelers had finally broken their drought when it comes to drafting and developing a top CB under Tomlin. Not so sure now.

Meh....our WRs seem to get grabbed a bunch weekly....just no flags usually. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Porter seems to be going through a serious lack of confidence. After he held the guy he flat out tackled him in the endzone, when the ball wasn't even catchable on that one play.

hitting 10 different receivers, 414 yards with 3 TDs an a pick off a bullshit call

damn good game for Russ
When they get in a groove offensive they aren’t afraid to keep their foot on the gas. Sometimes it is just getting there.

Make no mistake about it they needed this W and thankful came away with it.

Well, Porter obviously isn't doing it right, considering the rate at which he is getting penalized.

He's good for a couple flags a game now, it seems.

Seems the refs our targeting him weekly. We see other CBs do what he does to our WRs weekly without a call. I love the fact he is usually right there with the WR on every play. Years past we didnt have anyone running stride for stride with anyone. Hopefully if cleans it all up a bit moving forward.

You live with his learning curve. It is simple as that.

It's fixable for sure. He gotta keep.the top dog mentality through it though

Whether Porter got away with a lot last season or his technique has slipped, he's going to have to adjust how he plays. It's clear that officials are not going to give him any leeway going forward.

He's definitely a question mark right now.

It seemed for much of the game that the pick 6 was going to end up costing them, but fortunately the defense got a score of their own to offset it and they definitely needed it.

The pass defense continues to be suspect. Despite forcing the turnovers today, how they played overall against Burrow does not give me a ton of confidence in how they would match up against Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen or a healthy Justin Herbert in a post season matchup.
Those guys are going to get their points. I'm more worried about how the offense will play against those defenses.

My initial thought was all those here that predicted we would lose, and that the Steelers are who they wrongly thought they were….and how the Burrow and bengals despite their poor record would show the world how good they really are at our expense.

The Bengals were a team we thought was going to be a problem when they went to SB. Tgey are going to be on verge of coach fire at end of year.

Not going to get too excited because we put up good numbers offensively w/ Pickett and Rudolph against them last year. It was nice to see the offense come alive though. We used the middle of the field, the TEs, and the RBs. Why on earth we do not do this in other games in mind boggling. I hope Tomlin or whoever is in charge of the offensive game continues to build on this one. The offensive line also played well in this game which had been shaky lately. The D sure had its ups and downs and is concerning against good QBs / teams. The D made several big plays which is how they are surviving. If we get a team that holds onto the ball we will be in trouble.

Us rushing 4 and throwing a zone behind it has been brutal. Especially with against above the line QB.

It's stupid unless you're on a very short field. They created havoc with two blitzes in a row. Which resulted in the strip sack fumble TD.

When you get a team down by 17, don't go all passive. That 3rd&21 they converted about sent me over the edge.

They let the bungles back into the game by playing that stupid soft zone and Porter getting calls for pi setting them up at the 1.

This game should have been a complete blowout.
