Initial Thoughts on washington game

Thanks for that, good stuff. Wilson also moved into the 3rd spot(13 shared with Marino) for most game winning TD passes in the last 3 minutes of a game since the merger.
Matthew Stafford is #2 with 14 and Satan...errrr.... I mean Brady is #1 with 15. Will be sweet if Russ knocks Marcia to #2 before this season is over.
Wilson also has a perfect passer rating in the 4th quarter. He's 3-0 as our starter, and looking legit.

I thought is was interesting in that article when they said that Watt and Highsmith were so quiet because they were staying home to spy on a running qb. Good plan.

I'm not so sure - if he has to win three games in the last three minutes how many Steelers fans will be lost to heart attacks?

No one asked you anything. I certainly didn't ask you your opinion of me and if you don't respect basic rules of the community GFY
You seem to be a tightly wound watch.

What rules do you feel he broke?

So a few other observations:
1. Daniels had a subpar game, but he is going to be a hell of a passer... he doesnt have that several years adjustment period to reading nfl Ds and doesnt overly rely on his athleticism.. he had an off day in accuracy and still looked great..

2. George Pickens is going to be a very wealthy man after his extension...

3. The next game is the absolute biggest on our schedule. Beat Baltimore at home, and it completely puts them in a bad spot going down the stretch. Then we have a bunch of potential tiebreakers open to us for the division... the Rats lose control of their own destiny in the division..

4. The two Turnovers were not great, but honestly neither were devastating.. the pick was the equivalent of a punt.
The fumble still pinned Washington deep.. as a bonus, washington got the ball more worried about avoiding a safety and killing clock than forcing the ball for a score.. and we got it back in great field position...

5. That was Tomlin's 180th regular season win... if we went 7-1 down the stretch he would pass Chuck Knox (186) for 11th all time. ... Chuck Noll is 9th with 193... he wont get there this year, but with a strong showing down the stretch, he could hit that milestone next year

Bo Nix was 20-35 for 246 yards with 2 interceptions in his second game of his career against us. He’s steadily improved since then.

Daniels today was 17-34 for 202 yards with a whole 5yards of rushing and no TD’s,. In his 10th NFL game. I’m glad you think he was so impressive against us and carried his team. I for one didn’t think he looked that great today.

Today Bo was 22-30 for 215 2 TDs against KC. Brought them down for a 35 yard FG with one second left that was blocked. He had them up to beat the Chiefs.

Danial’s has thrown for 9 touchdowns this year. Rushed for 4 touchdowns.
Bo Nix has thrown for 10. Rushed for 4 touchdowns.
Daniels has a better completion percentage and has more rushing yards.
Nix can run as well….has 295 yards.

To say that “ Nix is not even close to Daniels “…..and that Daniels is “ carrying his team” 🙄🙄
I’d argue that Nix seems to be carrying his team as well. Like Denver has done so much in the last few years before him.
One of these QB’s seems to be a media darling, while one goes relatively unnoticed. Guess which one.

Nix has a 6.1 yards per attempt which is awful. His stats are close to Daniel Jones. He’s like Kenny Pickett with some running ability.

Daniels has thrown for 179 more yards than Nix on 62 fewer attempts.

Nix is completing 64% of his check downs. Daniels is completing 69% with an 8.2 yard per attempt. So he’s throwing more downfield passes and competing more of them than Nix. Daniels is also mostly doing it from the pocket. They aren’t doing a bunch of RPO stuff to give him easy reads.

Nix is doing well for a rookie. Pickett played well for a rookie too. But 6 yards per attempt won’t cut it.

Would you take Nix over Daniels if you had the choice?

Best road win I've seen in quite a while. Come from behind against a solid team.

Loved the fake punt... They got the look they wanted and went for it, regardless of field position. Worked perfectly by design.... Simply a dropped pass.

I'd like to know who called the "fake 4th down" at the end.... Wash bit on the hard count and ended the game for us without having to pucker a final possession.

Great win. Side note... Watched the Chiefs too... They are not looking like our usual dose of Kryptonite.... Ravens week will be our best test so far. Injury bug is a factor... Need to stay clean and healthy. Ooh-Rah.

Tyrannical. Easily goaded. Might just be him. Assuming 'him' is still 'his' pronoun.

Is 'GFY' within the penumbra of community respect?

Another observation.
Jayden Daniels. 3 rushes for 5 yards. No TD’s thrown.
He has tore the NFL up with his running this season. We definitely handled the rookie this game. We have great success with Lamar…..there’s no doubt that helps with this type of running QB.
Terry McLaurin gave our secondary fits. He has been doing that to secondaries all his career. A great WR.

By the way. Seems like the whole media and fans talk about Jayden Nonstop. There is another rookie QB doing better than him.
Bo Nix. Look it up. Well….at least right up there with him.
Nix can't hold Daniels' pads at this point in their careers. He can't read D as well, doesn't go through progressions as well, and he doesn't throw as accurately or run as well as Daniels. It isn't close.

He is not doing better or right up there with Daniels. And why the comments about Daniels being a media darling? Spit it out

Well I only mentioned this season because last night I had the heart sinking thought that next year we decide to let him walk. We go with Fields and he turns out to not pan out. Talk about regrets...I think he still has a few years in the tank as dude takes care of himself.

How do I know that? I read an interview with him from his Seahawks days...dude eats stuff only a hippie could stomach.

No….i would take Daniels. But that doesn’t mean Nix doesn’t deserve any credit. Making statements like Nix isn’t even close to Daniels I find untrue. With all your other stats there…..bottom line for me is Nix has accounted for more passing TD’s and just as many rushing TD’s. Without receiving any fanfare. I’m sure that’s just because he is a”system QB” to you. Daniels is having a great rookie year and I don’t disparage him in any way in my comments.
He completed 50% of his passes against us. Ran for 5 yards on 3 attempts . And had no TD’s. Was sacked 3 times. Which is why I said he didn’t impress me much in our game. Any QB with those stats wouldn’t impress me.
I’ll agree with your 6.1 yards thing. I’ll have to look at other QB’s for comparison this year.
Cheers

He has accounted for more TD’s than Daniels. Rather important stat?
I’d say he’s having a good rookie season….as is Daniels.

I bet the only game you’ve seen Nix play was against us. He has steadily improved.

Every year the Media attaches on to a player and goes with it. This year it’s Daniels. He seems like a very likable person and is doing very well in his rookie season. My comment wasn’t because I don’t like Daniels…..but simply when the media does this, other players seem to fall by the wayside. I chose to give Nix credit. Unfortunately it seems you have a problem with that.

“Spit it out”. There. I SPAT out my reasoning. Were you inferring I had some other type of agenda? Using those type of words sure seem so.

This is your second reference to politics today. Keep it in the other forum where it belongs
