Initial thoughts

If the NFL just replayed the Steelers' 2022 season and photoshopped the correct uniform onto the opposition, would we even notice?

Sports in general are vehicles for gambling. As such, its all 'fixed'. Don't delude yourself into believing the outcome isn't known. Refs are overseers. Probably doesn't pay that well considering the aggravation to manage hyperoverpaid brats bumbling around on the field.

The Steelers need a Steelers fan at the top. Artie isn't. There are billionaires out there who are. Vote Artie out; install one. Billionaires by nature are impatient. They incinerate mediocrity. That's among the major reasons they're billionaires.

The rest has been beaten to death. Fire blah, blah, blah. Fire (trade) everybody. Everybody. Find people that are serious about fixed sports and build a franchise that does the forbears honor.

This clown act is boring. The chili is great.

Same crap different week.

The defense gives up all kinds of yardage and relies on splash plays to keep it close. They got them this week.

DJ had a solid game, but sets the tone dropping what should've been a big pass and then his second target as well. Meanwhile, they ignored Pickens.

In one start, Will Levis had a more explosive game than we've seen from Pickett. He was doing okay, but again fails in the red zone. DJ was wide open and you have to complete that 10 out of 10 times. I want Pickett to be good, but even with the OL play and offensive scheme, he doesn't make enough plays that are there...basic plays that should look routine.

The coaches. I'm beyond over them.
 
Also, if Pickett plays it too safe, Trubisky was too careless. Several of his throws were completely absurd. Even that completion to Johnson in the middle of the field was luck that a defender didn't come back to intercept it. I am cool with a QB wanting to make plays, but he had too many dumb throws and I'd be very tempted to start Rudolph Thursday night.

Middle of the pack in points allowed. I don't know how I could have made it any clearer.

You can't possibly talk about defense today. They produced three turnovers. They held them in the game till as late as possible. You can't have 10 yards of offense first quarter and blame defense. Ever.
 
Blaming the defense for anything is ridiculous. The most important question to ask is w/o this defense how many wins would we have? The answer is more than likely 1 or even 0. Do they look good doing what they do? No, but the bottom line is points allowed not to mention they have scored a few TDs and set the offense up numerous times. That is also not taking into consideration the amount of time they are stuck on the field w/ all of our 3 and outs.

What I hate about the def argument is we have no O so they are always on the field. The TOP is so lopsided. But yet they still are in games to win.

Imagine if we had sustained drives, TOP, a lead, maybe those stats be better
 
Thanks to Amazon Prime, I got to watch most of tge game on the drive down to Charleston WV. I mercifully missed everything after the Mitch TD… but I knew how it was going to end by then…

The first drive of the game, they were aggressive… the plays were there but weren’t made. Then they weren’t really pushing it downfield until closer to the half… basically the O isn’t being used to try to score points until they absolutely need to

Pickett going out was inevitable… i don’t think people really understand how much he is getting crushed back there… the Oline coaches should be arrested for QB abuse..

Honestly, this is a team that is so broken scheme wise, i don’t think it will be fixed.

Against that DLine, with this blocking scheme, reverting to run run pass on the second series was virtually waiving the white flag..
 
steelers will convince themselves they only lost because the refs stole it and Kenny got hurt. No need to change a thing.

We need more from them unfortunately with this offense. It is Tomlin's way of playing. We were 4 and 2 entering this game.....no reason for Tomlin to change anything. So yes.....blame can be laid at the defense's feet. They gave up 20 points and didn't score any points themselves. Hopefully next week they do better. ;)

They left plays on the field. Beat themselves....blah blah blah /Tomlin

"Another" initial thought would just be a secondary thought, right?

My initial thought was: Man, this Steelers offense blows, and my secondary thought was: Man, I hope Tannehill gets healthy by Thursday night.

Tomlin friend and won’t question him. Austin is horrible and always has been.
Brian Flores forgot more than Austin and Shades. That’s why he wasn’t made DC.

Many here still think we end 9-8. Do you think we win 5 more games?

When mitch entered the game I said to the people at the bar , " mitch is good for two picks" . He delivered.
