I would love a Terry Mclaurin, Take him over anyone else out there value wise. If Terry was on SF he would be better than Aiyuk IMO. Terry has had trash at QB just like George and still looked solid. I"m with you on Austin, we need some speed on the field.
I was being sarcastic with the Dan Moore/Washington thing, Neither guy will ever be good O lineman.
Patterson was good in his day but I would rather have a burner than a 32 year old question mark.
I think The OC and the O-line will transform this offense, would love to see what he could come up with for fields in the run option QB like a Lamar Jackson. Seems like running is Fields best attribute like a poor mans Lamar Jackson. So far anyway.
Oh my, he would be great opposite Pickens. Sure he’s 29, but he has 2 years left on his contract at $15 mil/year. Definitely could entertain a 1-2 year extension lowering his cap hit. Probably we would have to give up only a 3rd round pick, instead of Aiuk’s 1st, who I am slowly souring on because of the drama he’s creating.
Thing is Dotson would also be a good candidate as well. Would be the definitive #2 WR, drafted same year as Pickens, and has played well like McLaurin with absolutely no help from the multiple QBs and offenses. Definitely would cost more, most likely a 2nd rounder, but he also has that 5th year available after this year. So his salary will be cap friendly.
Having CA3 and the rookie Wilson with their speed really will open up routes in Smith’s offense. O’ Canada‘s scheme really set back CA3 development even more than his Lisfranc injury as a rookie.
Patterson still has his speed, even at 32, watch his tape from 2021 and 2022, his KR avg was 24 and 32. While his touches were reduced last year because of Algeier and Robinson, the experience of being 3x All-Pro KR is comforting in the revamped Kickoff format that’s being introduced this year.
No problem on the sarcasm with the Washington/Moore comparisons. I know Moore is the lightning rod on this OL. But I subscribe to “Cowher’ism” on how a player is looked at. “You are never as good as they think you are, and never as bad as they say you are.“ Thats Moore in a nutshell. He’s definitely limited himself if he can’t play RT and it seems his future in PIT is as a swing tackle if he can. But he could start at LT for another team desperate for one.
