Is the NFL fixed ? - After watching that Bills debacle

Anything to justify the refs.

I don’t want to say it’s rigged between the players, but the officiating itself can change games pretty drastically
Rules like this give WAY too much room to "amend" the outcomes of games. We have all seen such passes be catches, and/or touchdowns.

It was a bad call and highlights the massive flaw in replay assist. At least give the impression to go through the process because every other time the receiver has possession and is down by contact, they keep possession. Is it fixed? What incentive does the NFL have to keep Josh Allen from advancing to the AFC Championship game?
I think they need the transparency of the ACC review where you listen to the explanation yourself. Watched a few of those. Really appreciated

Officials need to be held accountable. The replay stuff is way too dramatic and the nfl constantly has to justify the calls when fans criticize it

Yeah, that’s a tough call on that play.
Half the people love it half the people hate it.
Not much you could do about something that happens simultaneously in a split second.
I believe the biggest thing the NFL can do to eliminate any perceived favoritism or fixing of outcomes of games is to reduce the passing interference penalty to 15 yards. Basically put the college football pass interference, penalty in place in the NFL
That will stop a lot of games of being decided on some fluke penalty because a quarterback just throws the ball 50 yards down field. It doesn’t take much skill or talent to do that, and for that to decide outcomes of football games is criminal.
No pun intended

The problem with the 15-yard penalty is DBs that get burnt in the NFL are smart enough to tackle the receiver to prevent the big play.

I would have to believe they’re just as smart in college to do the same thing. And it happens occasionally, not as much as you think though.

My biggest issue are the pass interference calls and the no contact ****. Every single game you see defensive back grabbing one arm ,pulling on the jersey or getting a hand right on the hip holding them when the wr goes to jump.

You ever try to jump when someone pulls right on your hip? It messes you up. It's a 100% interference.

If you're going to have a ******* rule, call it ALL of the time and not just when you feel like it or remove the rule.

It should be 5 yards and then you keep your hands to yourself until the ball arrives. You either knock it down ,intercept it or knock it out right at the moment the WR touches it.

They like rules they can influence outcomes. The only explanation that makes sense.

The tried hyper-enforcing illegal contact a few years ago and it was a disaster, there's always going to be some hand fighting during a route. I don't want a flag on every single passing play.

It's like the hockey interference rule, you have to impede their progress toward the puck to get it called.

Consistency is the problem. They let DBs play all game until that last drive. Happened with Bengals/Chiefs years ago, too, and Chiefs/Eagles.

It's not hand fighting when you're pulling on a guy's arm or hooking his hip before or during his jump.

Agreed, those should be penalties. But not the normal stuff during a WR's route, the games will take 5 hours with all the flags.

Same thing for Cooper Cupp.

Jesse James and Steelers got fuucked, so did Bills :

I agree with some of those on here... I think the games are "steered" by the refs to achieve favorable outcomes. And by favorable outcomes, I mean favorable to Vegas. It doesn't matter the team, I don't think certain teams are put in the crosshairs to prohibit them from advancing. It's just from the ebb and flow of betting, which helps with the randomness and not clearly defining a pattern.

I don't think the players are involved, I don't think the coaches are involved, but I would have to believe some owners have knowledge of it. How much IDK.

Goodell has to know, but as long as the $$$ keeps coming in, mums the word.

Since you are new here -- welcome, some great posts already -- it is forgivable that you forgot that the normal descriptor "fuucking soulless ginger" should always accompany any mention of that fuucking soulless ginger Goodell.

Hopefully one day you'll all see it. It's been scripted all along. Sports is a waste of time unless you're a child or working in the field. Perhaps if they run a 666 ritual when the next team ties the Steelers and Pats for 6 SB wins it will be more obvious. Considering all the previous half time shows that were satanic/illuminati/masonic in nature, it would fall right in line. Heck, if you study enough history, you can easily see that EVERY play in the NFL is a masonic ritual for the sun. The TD signal too. Team names and colors are in play as well. They usually give hints each season. Here was one from the start of this season. Also, the irony of SB XL and LX. This is just surface stuff. Read the comments too.

The manipulation of games has been going on for a VERY long time. A lot of it is based on the gambling aspect, to much money involved to let play out as chance.

The “big Money” keeps a little guess work in it so as to keep the gamblers coming back for more, thus not every game is affected. There is actually a slim window of chance.

The manipulation is definitely done through the refereeing of the games. It’s an easy concept to follow. The direct communication to the NY microphone is evidence enough.

We as fans have been crying for years of the need for full time refs, the league “big money” rely on the proverbial “inexperience of part time refs” to help cover the manipulation.

It’s an easy view once you take notice. It started way way back with the TV (orange sleeve) guy and TV time outs.

Looks like Darnold was given specific instructions.

“Big Money” has all angles covered, some-how………..some-way.

Say what you want to about Vegas bets, for a long time it was not the money, but the cheaters who got the breaks. It truly sucked.
